I have now visited this place a few times. I was here when they first opened and they needed to work out the kinks. I visited again when their pastries seemed to only come out of the refrigerated shelves and now they have a case with pastries.
The two women working were nice when I arrived both greeting me separately when I walked in. One worked solely on drive thru orders and didn't help out the main counter if there was no one in the drive thru. The other working the main counter took her time making my drink of choice: hot mocha with oatmilk and an extra pump of chocolate (not a coffee drinker here). She filled my mug to the brim with artistic yumminess.
It's a fairly open concept inside with two Jeni's ice cream coolers along one wall and a refrigerated cooler with juice cold brew canned coffees, bagels, fruit and other items.
There's plenty of seating and plenty of space so you aren't on top of others. They have bistro tables, high chairs with a counter along two windows, low tables for 2/4/6 people for privacy to collaboration, and they have comfortable chairs and couches with coffee tables.
It's a great place to start your day, conduct business, meet up with family and friends or to just kick back with a nice cup of Joe and a...
Read moreI visit thismplace at least once a week to help support a local buisness even though i am a starbucks guy. while they have some drive through business there are never that many poeple in there.
Today i went there to work and meet a friend. I brought my starbucks ice coffee as it was a free refill and they dont have a real ice coffee, rather make one with hot coffee which really dilutes it. It is much smaller than starbucks and more money. i was very nicely and politely asked to leave as no outside food and drink is allowed. i totally understand except.....they dont serve an acceptable alternative to the only coffee drink i like, and i have also been a good customer having meetings there on many occasions spending several hundred dollars there.
i really want to support this small business but even Starbucks, the corporate heavy weight bends its rule book to accomodate customers, while these guys dont. With limited selection, sizes and high prices they really should consider a more customer...
Read moreCafe De Oro is by far the best coffee shop in the area. I say this after visiting all of them.
It is family-owned and you feel as though you're a guest in their home. When they give you your coffee, you also feel a warmth, kindness and positive energy that uplifts your entire day. I've told them, I don't just go for the coffee.
The coffee is fresh roasted and seriously the smoothest most delicious coffee of any other coffee shop. I love how they remember my preferences and my coffee is always perfect how I love it.
The atmosphere is comfy with couches, chairs, tables and outdoor seating. It's that place to have coffee with a friend, have a business meeting, or just to chill with a book when you want to get out. I often pick up coffee here and go to the trails at Ryerson Woods where I'll sit by the river and take in the nature.
I cannot highly recommend this coffee shop enough. It's seriously, not exaggerating, the best coffee shop...
