Very friendly service at the Jamison Avenue Arbys in Roanoke but the food needs serious improvement. I was in the area (I visit this area when I can, my brother Christopher went missing in it) I decided to stop here for a quick bite. My Rueben was a complete mess! Sandwiches should remain in tact when you eat them. This thing was turning to mush!! If you’re older than the age of 2, there’s no excuse for messy eating. This thing gets all over your fingers, there’s never enough napkins, and if you’re eating it in public people are likely watching and judging you. I think the main problem might be the bread. This sandwich needs a sturdy rye bread to hold the sauces, including thousand island and giant pile of sauerkraut. Maybe too much sauerkraut. The bread doesn’t hold it, it can’t. There’s too much stuff piled on. Not only does the bread get way too soggy and disgusting, but the worst part is, the bread doesn’t even taste like rye! I spoke to the manager who was very apologetic. They said they agree they could use a different rye bread. They said they agree it doesn’t taste like rye. They said it’s a sad sandwich and they don’t understand why people even order it. Ouch! Even Arbys own managers know what’s up about the Reuben. Arbys you can do better! Read moreI actually like this Arby's on Jamison. Great roast beef sandwiches. I come sometimes when I get a chance.. just there's one manager there. An idiot. I had a friend who used to work for Arby's. I asked them if they knew him. They said no. Then they asked me to repeat his name. I said his name and they said "no never heard of him" I said that's strange because other Arby's restaurant managers knew my friend. This manager at this Jamison location replied" no, what's strange is I don't know that person, and never heard of them. I know all the managers at all the Arby's in roanoke. I've been working here a long time." I said "well obviously my friend slipped under your radar" the manager said "no, they didn't. You better stop lying because that lying can get you in trouble" what?? I never lied. That manager is obviously the liar if they say they know every manager at every Arby's in roanoke. That's very unlikely. I was just asking if you knew my friend, because he worked at Arby's 7 years, including 2 years at this Jamison location. No need to make personal attacks and call people liars. Read moreService was unbelievably slow, initially went inside to pick up my order and considering the lobby was empty and the drive thru had one car I assumed this would be an in and out experience but turns into being fully ignored by the 2 of the 3 employees, both made eye contact and the one employee was no more than a foot away from me, stopped and stared at me and turned around and walked away with out a single word, so after being fully ignored with no customers in the building aside from my self I figured the drive thru would be more efficient and helpful for the employees but of course not, waited in a line of two vehicles for 15 minutes, but the person taking the order was beyond pleasant and was doing the best he could, but the other 2 employees were were beyond ridiculous. I as a loyal arby customer have never felt so dismissed and discouraged from even picking up my paid for order, but thankfully there was a ray of hope operating the drive thru.
