Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Roanoke

One of the 2 pizzas was wrong & they didn’t bring the cinnamon twists. They told hubby he placed the order wrong online even though he checked it over before submitting. They said they’d credit our next order. Hello? I’m waiting for the pizza I ordered to eat NOW, not next week. Then they said they’d bring the cinnamon twists but not the correct pizza. Whaaaat? You’ll make a trip for the cinnamon twists but won’t bring the pizza.now what kind odd sense does that make?? Then the guy says they don’t give “free food”. Nobody was asking for FREE food, we were asking for the CORRECT food. Hubby says just bring the correct pizza with the cinnamon twists. Finally the guy gets nasty & says they’ll bring the pizza but “don’t ever call this store again asking for free food!” I heard the entire call because we had him on speaker. I was stunned!! We didn’t touch the incorrect pizza; we were sending it back when they brought the correct one. So do you see anywhere here where we were trying to get free food?? Unbelievable. The driver finally showed up 1 1/2 later and by that point I had already eaten something else. I told my husband I didn’t feel safe even eating the pizza when it got here because who knows what they made have done to it. I’ve seen videos of workers spitting in customers food or dropping it on the floor & still serving it. I told the driver I appreciated him bringing it but no longer felt comfortable eating it & told him to take it back and gave him the other incorrect pizza to take back as well since they felt we were looking for “free” food. Genuinely the worst experiences the last 2 orders so I gave it a final shot and was even more annoyed and disappointed. First time they sent the wrong food but made it right so I couldn’t complain. The second time they sent my families dinner on an HOUR LONG ROADTRIP AROUND ROANOKE! I live 7 minutes from this location so watching the tracker and seeing my food getting cold for an hour before delivery was super frustrating, after some friction with an employee they remade and resent the order AND I STILL TIPPED AGAIN! However this was the last time I can give them my business. Ordered a simple 3 for 5.99 nothing special and of course upon delivery the boxes were crushed and the food was wrong. I called the store and asked just to send the correct pizza and they agreed and per the usual I also offered to tip the driver again. I didn’t want the credit from dominos just wanted to eat dinner after just getting home from a 10 hour road trip, OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER they finally showed up with a COMPLETELY COLD AND SLOPPED IN A BOX mess of a pizza, honestly just terrible service quality and customer service. We've been living a 1 minute from this location for about a year and chose to never order because we heard they didn't deliver to our location after 5pm and we just don't feel like driving whenever we want pizza.

Then one week we were starving in the middle of the day and decided to order delivery for the 2 for $5.99 coupon.

To say we are now hooked is an understatement.

I mean, the quality outweighs most chain and mom & pop/family owned pizzas in town. The staff is so friendly! We've never waited more than 15-25 mins from order to delivery and it's steaming hot. Feels even faster with the tracker.

Our puppy loves the delivery driver Alan so much to the point where he now understands the command 'Domino's', waits by the window looking out for him and goes crazy the moment he sees the vehicle approaching. We've ordered about 4 times in the last 8 days (obsessive, I know but it's been a rough week) and they never disappointed once.

We love our local Domino's and couldn't recommend them more. I hope they change that deliver after not delivering after 5pm thing but they're still a 5-star...
