Very expensive food with below average flavor. Ordered the Impossible Burger ($16) and it came with the patty, 3 pickles, a slice of tomato and 1 leaf of lettuce. No condiments or onions were included. I was charged when I asked for a side of mustard and some onion... 2 burgers, 2 beers and an appetizer was $70 after tip... Will never go to a Brass Tap again.
----------EDIT after owner reply----------- Dear owner, thank you for taking the time to reply to my review. I do, indeed, think your food prices are too high. I agree with most of your response here (the upcharge for the Impossible patty, the cost of beer and the upcharge for the specific side I got). What I disagree with is your statement that, because I agreed to pay for my food, that it's somehow disingenuous to say I think your prices are high. I agreed to pay for my food because that's what is supposed to happen when you order food and eat it...that does not mean that I somehow happily endorse your prices. You mentioned that I "knew exactly the price of what I was ordering (except for the small upcharge)". The issue at the root of my critique stems from my perceived value of what I paid for. It did not list on your menu that condiments cost extra. As I'm sure you know, most other (especially franchise) restaurants do not charge extra for their condiments, and if they do, they tend to state that fact, either on the menu or verbally when the order is placed. Your restaurant did neither. Nor did the menu state the list of toppings that came on the Impossible burger as compared to your other burgers. Hopefully you can understand my surprise when a burger with no condiments was served to me, and again my surprise when I was charged (without being notified of the cost) for condiments. At the end of the day, I was disappointed with the value of this food for what I paid. Your attempt to invalidate my interpretation of value does not...
Read moreI read the comment to our initial review from this evening, and I will let you know exactly what happened as I am the "mom" this happened to. We checked our bag in the car and turned around in the movie parking lot after noticing the side order of Brussel Sprouts was missing. As I entered the store, I told the hostess what happened. As she was pulling up the order, you were responding in the kitchen window that they were in the bag in a small container. I then told you that both side containers were sides for the trio dip. You kept saying that you know that you made them and insisted that they were in the bag. I was of course irritated as we trekked out in the ice for the first time to get food and why would I walk all the way back into the restaurant if hadn't looked thoroughly? You then insisted that I go back out to my car and grab my two bags of food (four orders) and prove to you that they were not in my bag. After showing you that they were not in my bag and you opening every one of my food containers, you still kept insisting that they were made and still had not offered to remake them yet. We were credited back from Door Dash for the $4 side order and our tip, but the only thing that was hot by the time we got home was the Brussel Sprouts. Everyone else's food was cold. You were combative the minute I returned back into the store just as you were in your response...
Read moreStopped here for the first time this weekend for a couple of beers and to try out this new location. This is going to be a great addition to the area and had a really nice casual, neighborhood feel to it. There is seating both inside and outside on a patio. There are lots of TVs with sports going, and the music was pretty good, although it was a little loud.
The beer selection provided a lot of options. There was a nice selection on tap, but even more in cans and bottles. I was able to find some new beers to try. There are a lot of local beers available but also found some fun imports on the menu. This is a great place for untapped users to expand their list. The tap menu is reprinted every day as the taps are constantly changing.
We order some food to eat with our beer. The pretzel was the best and was easy to share as it is already cut up into little nuggets. The pretzel some with a nice mustard, cheese or humus of dipping. We also ordered the nachos and were not impressed with them. There were not as many toppings as we expected and the "Korean BBQ" pulled pork did was tasty but did not taste like any Korean BBQ I have tried.
Our waitress must have still have been learning, it was their first week after all. Hopefully, she will get stronger with time.
We will definitely be back to try some more...
