Awesome food, great atmosphere! The outdoor seating area is stunning with the string lights. Beer is really good, as is the food! The Mexican bowl has a nice flavor, burgers were a generous size and super juicy, and the pasta salad is wonderful (not the slimy, store-bought kind... It was so fresh and definitely tasted homemade). And if you like chocolate cake in the least bit, do yourself a favor and save room for dessert. The chocolate cake with peanut butter icing might take a slight edge over the recipe my family's been making for 50+ years... It's THAT good (don't tell my grandma I said that 😉). It would be nice to see Spring Dam have a greater social presence on Untappd, which would also make it easier to follow the beer menu to see what's on tap! We wish we checked Spring Dam out sooner, so definitely give it a try if you're on the fence about stopping. It's worth the drive if you're visiting from the Altoona or Bedford areas.

Another day trip took us east of Pittsburgh into the mountains, where we happily stumbled upon this gem in Roaring Springs. The drafts were smooth and spot-on—no doubt thanks to the region’s incredibly crisp, clean water. Mike was exceptionally kind and generous, and we had a great time swapping stories about travels across the country. The outdoor space looks like a weekend dream—perfect for kicking back, letting go of the week, and soaking in some live music. We’re already checking the schedule to see who’s playing next. With great beer and even better vibes, we’ll definitely be back soon!

Terrible experience. We came to see the band. We arrived at 6:30, wasn't approached by wait staff until close to 7. Finally got the drinks by 7:10. I asked our server to check if the South of the Border bowl had any dairy in the seasonings, and if not, I would like it without cheese or sour cream because of my dairy allergy. Food arrived around 8:00. Mine had cheese in it. I opted not to send it back because I figured it would be another hour before it was replaced. However, I couldn't eat it. I told the server why it wasn't eaten. She said she wanted to check with the manager about something. Five minutes later, she came back with the check that included the full price of the meal that I couldn't eat. I will never go back again, which is too bad because the set up for musicians...

Very cool space we found with a google search while out looking for local watering holes on a weekend excursion. Very happy to have found this place. It has a speakeasy vibe and cool decor. The owner happened to be waiting on us at the bar so we learned a bit about the history and space. The food was great and we especially liked the meatballs. The beers and drinks were tasty as well. They had a class reunion outside on their huge multi-level deck area but were still able to be attentive to the few of us that wanted to be inside at the bar on such a nice day.

Will definitely be back when were are close...
