I have to get infusions that cause me to feel horribly at times so I ordered takeout through door dash from Pedro's, and after I placed my order and paid for it I received a call from door dash stating that I needed to pay more money for the meal I ordered from their menu. I refused and told them cancel it, as never have I had that happen, or heard of anything like that. Then the door dasher called me back and told me the delivery person was on the way so I said great maybe the food will make up for the restaurant trying to up the price on their menu, which I did pay for. Fifteen minutes later the dasher arrived with child's size coke for $3.45 that was mostly water from the ice cubes that I assume existed for the hour and fifteen minutes prior to delivery. It was supposed to be a chimichanga meal. It was not even luke warm, the rice tasted like white rice with some tomato sauce with zero seasoning, the beans tasted like something you'd get out of a can, and the "chimichanga" was 4 1/2 inches long and not quite 3 inches in width, and an inch in height, and was cut in half for some reason. It was tough, no seasoning, no cheese sauce, and had about 2 tablespoons of plain ground meat in it, that was it. I took a bite of each item of the meal, and threw it in the garbage, it wasn't fit to eat. I, nor any friends of mine will ever go to or take out from this awful restaurant again. I suggest Casa Mexico or El Rodeo as they are both excellent, authentic Mexican restaurants and I have NEVER had anything like this ridiculousness happen at either place. I literally might as well have thrown my money out of my window on the interstate. Neither of the other two Mexican restaurants in town, would ever pull...
Read moreDisappointed. This was my go to for quality Mexican food (Summerdale location)....but not anymore and I am disappointed. My family and I use to go this location several times and we enjoyed the atmosphere, food, drinks etc. But now, there is definitely a noticeable shift in everything. The food is terrible and extremely salty. They no longer have white fish, just tilapia and another sub par fish that is farm raised. The quality of food has gone to the dogs!smh. It seems and tastes as if they may be under new management or new cooks. But everything on our plates were extremely salty that we could not eat it, we trashed all of it and vowed to never return. The customer service is also horrible. It use to be a pleasant environment, being greeted with pleasant smiles by waiters and waitresses, but now it just feels as if they are overworked and ignore whoever needs help or attention. They now avoid customers and try their best to make eye contact. For the price, it's not worth it. Especially, if we are not able to eat the food that we paid for. I ordered a seafood chimichunga with shrimp, crab and crawfish and only received ONE shrimp inside and the burrito was not fried, it looked barely wet. Ridiculous. Plus, we waited over 30 minutes for a pick up order to get handed salty, inedible food. Spare your blood pressure, headache, time, money and energy. Again, this is the Summerdale location. We haven't eaten at any other locations, but this one. So if the other locations are up to par, then that...
Read moreMy family and I went there for dinner on May 29th for the first time. My overall assessment of the food I ordered is that it is average Mexican fare prepared to Anglo tastes.
The salsa is mild and lacking any distinctive flavor (little or no cilantro, and little heat). I ordered the "Fiesta Plate," a grilled beef and chicken combination, with only one side (rice or beans). There were good portions of beef and chicken, but only grilled onions were included. Green peppers would make this a better dish. Three tortillas, wrapped in aluminum foil, were served with the dish, and they were very small and thin. The tortillas ran out half way through the meat and onions. I requested more tortillas, and was served an additional aluminum foil package of three more small, thin tortillas, for which I was charged an $3. The cup of charro beans was barely lukewarm. I sent it back to be reheated. Flavorable, but more broth than beans. I ordered iced tea, for which I was charged $3.25, for 5 cents worth of tea. That is higher than the typical cost in other local restaurants.
I was underwhelmed with Pedros, for dining. There are l other Mexican restaurants in the area which I consider to be better choices. But, Pedros does call themselves a taco and tequila bar, not a restaurant. Maybe it is best for drinks and snacks. One good point: our server was very pleasant...
