To make it long story short: the food here sucks, and the service makes it a little bit better. 2 stars are for the servers ONLY. The quality of food here has gone down since the very first time I visited in high school (back in 2011). And now that I think about it, I don't even know if it was good THEN! The food is bland and has no seasoning. How is it Asian cuisine and there's absolutely no flavor? I don't get it. I've ordered things from the udon special to the curry dishes they offer -- LACK OF SEASOSINING will be their downfall. I mean do you have salt in the kitchen? Damn ! I typically order the Philippine fried rice and nothing on the dish is remotely impressive anymore. It's something that I can make at home if I was as bad as the chef who works here. The main difference? It'd actually taste like something! Putting teriyaki sauce on the chicken in hopes that it will revive the dish is a joke. Not even gonna give an A for effort since their menu, recipes, and chefs need a revamp. During this particular visit, we ordered sushi. All I can really say about it is that it's the worse sushi I've ever had. The yellowtail, which is a classic and one of my favorites, was ruined since it wasn't fresh. If I was to try this place for sushi for my first time I'd be truly disappointed. Not impressed. Doubt I'll be back unless things change. If my friends or family happen to wanna drag me here, I'll order something they can't mess up -- water.

This is my GO TO sushi restaurant. I cannot count the amount of times I have been in to Little Tree. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and will scratch your Nu-Asian itch. I usually stick to the Spider roll because it is my absolute FAVORITE. But I alternate between the shrimp shumai, crab and shrimp puffs, and ebi tempura for appetizer. For entree (which I usually split with my boyfriend because the portions are gigantic!) I alternate between Philippine fried rice, Nabeyaki Udon, and the ramen. I have never been disappointed with any of these dishes. The service is wonderful. Every server I've ever had has been attentive, friendly, and seems to enjoy their work. They have also always been patient with us and our dog, as we usually take her and sit on the patio. I know dogs in a restaurant environment can be irritating to servers, and I always appreciate them making me feel like she is welcome. The only downside is, if you're looking for traditional drinks, I don't think Little Tree has a great selection. But if you're looking to try Sake they have a wide range of Saketinis to try!

We ordered the Lumpia and it was good. The Spicy Salmon roll and Spicy California roll were very good. We also had a small ginger salad that was delicious. I ate all the Pancit Canton because I don’t like wasting food, but it was way too salty. It would have been fine if it was less salty. I normally would rate a place 3 stars if the entree wasn’t good but we really enjoyed the rest of the food here so I’m rating this place 4 stars and we will go back and try something else. I really wish they had Pancit Bihon because that’s our favorite Pancit with the clear noodles, hopefully they will add that to the menu. The staff are very friendly, the service was great and the food came out quickly. The prices are fair. We will be back again soon.

We were pleasantly surprised at how great this restaurant is. Little Tree recently moved to Rochester Hills from Royal Oak. They offer items in several Asian ethnicities: Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Filipino, and have a full bar. We usually sit at the counter in front of where the chefs create sushi & sashimi because we like to watch true artists at work. When they aren't busy, we enjoy talking with them.

After only four visits, we already have favorites: blackened tuna sushi, Tom Yum soup, and Japanese beer. They entrées come with chicken, pork, seafood, tofu, or plain. My husband is working his way through the entrées and has liked everything he has tried so far. Our son, not a fan of Asian food and who who always orders only masamun curry at Thai restaurants, likes the spicy Califonia rolls, marinated beef & potatoes, and especially the chicken & pork adobo (extra hot). I like the ginger salad (the finely ground ginger dressing is awesome), pancit Canton, Gang Gai, and especially the Chiang-Rai eggplant. We almost always have enough for a second meal at home. They are willing to accommodate special requests and allergies. The entrées are average priced for restaurants in this area, but with beer, soup, and sushi added, can be pricy. The food and atmosphere (quiet, you can actually hear your table conversation) make it worth the cost.

This already is one of our favorite restaurants. I can hardly wait for our other two out-of-state children and their young families to visit because we know they all will love...

The food was descent, however customer service is very poor. I asked for another portion of ahi tuna on my ahi tuna salad and it turned into a huge issue. I would think as a sushi place, their would be a system in place for charging additional protein portions, but that wasn’t the case.

Initially, I was incorrectly advised that I would have to order indicidual pieces of ahi tuna (off the sushi menu (that came with aeoli and capers - not what is on the salad) that were almost $4 a piece to add to my $15 salad. I said said that doesn’t make sense, I would be charged $16 dollars for 4 piesces of fish, I should just order another salad since it comes with 4 pieces of tuna plus salad for $15!

Then the waitress agreed and decided to talk to the sushi chefs and her manager? I hear the whole conversation as I was sitting right in front of the sushi bar. I was being made fun of for wanting more tuna and not wanting to pay, which was not the case, I just wanted to be reasonably charged in way it made sense. Even after the ordeal was done, they were still talking about it which is completely unprofessional! Mind you, I wasn’t upset and even said multiple times I was fine without it and you don’t have to ask.

The end result was they agree to charge me for another salad but only give me the tuna to put on one salad.. it made absolutely no sense to me..

What a bad impression, will...
