Highland China House — Restaurant in Rochester

We had lunch there today, it was the first time that we have eaten there. The food was yummy, in fact so good, we will be going back for seconds and thirds and more, lol. The owners and his 2 children were very pleasant, they made our time enjoyable, they were so helpful too. keep up the great job, see you in a week or two. there is one disappointment, which I did discuss with the owner. the web site is not correct, it says lunch is until 3:30. that has changed but not on there web site. lunch ends at 3:00. the web site also says you get a appetizer which would have been 6 chicken wings and 2 egg rolls with our lunch. that too has changed, it serves only 1 egg roll and 2 chicken wings. Must've been a bad day in the Highland China house when my boyfriend and i grabbed some food. We ordered food to go and it was odd because we heard no food being cooked. The food came out really fast, and that's usually not a good sign. The fried rice had absolutely NO FLAVOR! I had too douse it with soy sauce. The beef teriyaki was decent tasting, but it was very fatty. I'm shocked when reading others reviews on this place. The place was dirty, had Christmas decor on the walls, a box of Cocoa puffs was sitting on the counter. and the employees almost seemed to be annoyed that we ordered food. Ordered a General Tso's Chicken with Fried Rice with an Egg Roll. The service was great; very friendly and ordering online was easy. Called to have an estimated time to pick up order; which was 10 minutes. Took 6 minutes to get there and my order was ready. Now as far as the food is concerned it was awful. The breaded chicken was soggy and was more like slop. The rice was dry which is surprising since the rice looks like it was soaked in soy sauce.
