Sonny's Dutch Mill — Restaurant in Rock Hill

Just walked in with my 4 yr old son was acknowledge by the blonde lady at the front behind the register and was told that someone will be with me in a second. A single caucasian Male walked in a couple of minutes after me and my son sat down, and a few minutes later a older caucasian gentleman, a younger caucasian male, and a younger caucasian female walked in and sat down together.

The younger waitress in the gym shorts looked at my son and I, but still went straight towards the single caucasian male and took his order first, and came by and asked what we were drinking.

The long haired heavy set female called out the older gentleman's name that was with the two younger caucasians, and went straight to them and put in their orders as well. Now, we were there first, but now we have 4 orders in front of us to wait on when they should've been in line behind us.

It's like being at the back of the bus.... that's unacceptable in this day and time. If you don't want us in there, be bold and put a sign on the door. I really love their burgers, and the peanut butter shakes, and has recommended the place to a lot of people, but not sure this place is for my kind, Never Again!

Update 12/20/22: I have been back three times since the previous incident and everything was on point for both the service and the food. My last visit on 12/7/22 was heartbreaking because when I went to order my beloved PEANUT BUTTER SHAKE I was told that they no longer sold it. My goodness, how can you do that to us, that was a major letdown and one of the main reasons I started back going. Please bring back the peanut...

Used to be the place to go to for a great hamburger, now very much different? Ordered a double CB w 1/2 fries & onion rings & tea. Waitress took order walked away curt. (While there argued with several other customers) Restaurant was slow. Hamburger seemed different wasn’t as good as normal and seemed thrown together. The tea tasted old. When went to pay the bill was over $12? I asked the waitress and she was arguably direct that I had to pay for a full order for the onion rings because of wasting potatos? I ordered crinkle cut fries, they keep forever in the freezer, same with onion rings? They also didn’t give me a full order of onion rings?? I very open to paying more for to support local, I do my best to over tip and I understand having a bad day but if you’re going to up-charge me please tell me ahead of time. First time I have had a bad experience at Sonny’s. I’m a native Rock Hillian and have been a customer since The Dutch Mill was on Cherry Rd. Today I called in for 2 hamburgers with mustard, chili, and onions with a side order of crinkle fries. The hamburgers were both cold, the chili dry, and so few onions that they were undetectable. The fries tasted like they had been cooked and sitting out for a couple of hours. I tried to heat in the microwave but still were inedible. The cost was $12.50. On Sonny’s website it still has hamburgers listed at $3.75 and fries at $2.00. I asked the cashier how much the hamburgers were and she said $4.50. I told her I had checked the menu online, and she denied they even have a website. The counter had a sign offering a 4% cash discount.
