Big disappointment š. We love Calzones & normally go to St. Louis for them so when we heard about Saucys we couldnāt wait to try it. We each had one & was filled to the brim with cheese I mean a lot. Weāre normally xtra cheese kinda people but this was just too much! Whereās the beef? In the hamburger, mushroom & light onion, there was a total of 5 pieces of hamburger š¢ to 50 mushrooms & 4 onions? I didnāt say light hamburger. Iād normally add mushrooms to a piece of pizza from another piece but this was just way too much especially with a provel base cheese, it was a mushroom calzone with a hint of hamburger. The other was plain pepperoni & same thing barely any pepperoni. Youād expect to get a bite of pepperoni every bite. We cut them in inch strips & there wasnāt pepperoni or hamburger in every strip. Not a fan of the red sauce. We tried the cheesecake which was good. When you spend $40 with tax & tip for take out dinner for 2 & end up still hungry itās pretty disappointing. The photo is what was left of mine that I couldnāt eat since it was just cheese & mushrooms my other half didnāt finish his either & wish weād of tried a burger instead. He gets the Pizza Hut melts for $6 & has triple the pepperoni this had in it & two of them is about the price of one of these. I wish I had something more positive to say. The staff was friendly & pickup was easy since they werenāt busy but itās like a bar atmosphere & we donāt drink or go to bars so not really our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave eaten there twice. We gave it two chances to get it right. They use frozen pizza crust. Why? I can buy a frozen pizza and eat at home. A pizza parlor should not be serving frozen pizza crust. Fresh is always better. Stuffed mushrooms. We asked for spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms. The inside of the mushrooms were runny and slimey. Cheeseburgers. Rectangle patties were too thick and dry. No seasoning, so it tasted like a meat puck. A hard hoagie bun with a hard outside crust does not make a good pairing with hamburger. It was so awkward to eat, my husband had to eat it "typwriter" style (he got a double). I asked for mayo, ketchup, mustard, tomatoes and onions for my burger. It was all on a separate plate instead of on the bun and the mayo came in a packet. Why are these served like this? The kitchen should be serving a burger with all the things you ordered already ON the burger. Also, the cheese was melted and translucent on the burger. Looked like they took a slice of cheese cut it into two pieces and placed it on each rectangle burger. (You get two rectangle patties per burger.) I think they can do better. It's a new restaurant and they have a lot to work out. Who is on watch for quality control? What is coming out if the kitchen should be quality checked. I would rather wait longer for my food than have it come out overcooked because the restaurant is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor a place named Saucy's, it didn't live up to expectations. We got two 16" pizzas, wings (dragon's breath and garlic parmesan), stuffed mushrooms, and a toasted ravioli meal for our toddler.
For 25 dollars per pie, the pizza isn't worth it. Not very many toppings, bland, and the cheese was burnt...a comment I've seen in many other reviews. My attached picture (if it attaches) shows the Hawaiian we ordered. These two slices had 4 small pineapple pieces. You can see the burnt cheese.
The wings are OK.
The opening had only 1 waitress staffed. For this reason, I'm being forgiving about the service. She was in such a hurry that she walked off a couple of times after she decided we were finished. We couldn't get her attention for a single refill...even when she was at our table. Again, when you're the only waitress for 10 full tables, it's understandable.
Bottom line, our bill was over 100 dollars. Pizza Hut has better pizza for a lot less. If it weren't for the many other reviews expressing the same things, i would chalk this up to a poor opening for this location. I cannot...
