Heard alot of great things about this place so decided to go check it out.... was crowded but I expected that. As we sat down we were informed that the menu was limited due to closing for 10 days or so... ok no big deal. I ordered an Italian while my gf ordered a cheesesteak. While waiting for our food I stepped outside. The waitress informed my gf that they had ran out of provolone and asked if American cheese would be ok instead, she said yes that was fine. She tells me this once I come back in, while I'm not thrilled it's no big deal. A few minutes after I get back to my seat the waitress once again comes back and says we are out of lettuce will romaine be an ok substitute... now I get they are running low on stables due to closing for 10 days but at this point they were supposed to be continuing to take food orders for another 3 hours..... but yet we're running out of the things necessary to make orders of the customers who have already ordered food. At this point I am in my opinion not getting a true Italian sandwich as there will be no provolone cheese and romaine rather than iceberg lettuce.. so I ask the waitress what on the menu I'd available with all the correct ingredients. Rather than actually answering my question she suggests that my gf and I just switch orders and for her to take the Italian and I take the cheesesteak.... because the sandwiches are almost done.... I say no if I had wanted a cheesesteak I would have ordered it rather than an italian.. I tell her to just cancel my order for the Italian and that I will just have the fries I ordered. Another 10 minutes or so go by and the sandwiches that were supposedly almost finished have not yet been brought out. The waitress then comes back to us and asks if we like pizza? I originally wanted to order a slice of pizza with my sandwich but was told pizza wasn't sold by the slice. Since it was just 2 of us eating we didn't feel the need to order an entire pizza just to have one slice. The waitress is trying really hard to push us into ordering a pizza...we decline. Finally our foid arrives and while the food was good and every other aspect was enjoyable I was very disappointed in the service on this particular night.... I myself will not be inclined to return but I'm sure my gf will be interested in giving them another try hoping a second visit will result in a better experience so...
Read morewent there for the first time a week ago with a party of 12. was asked if our party was all there and we said yes. was told a 30 minute wait for a big table. 35 minutes later we decided to brake up party and take 2 tables. party of 9 came in and got seated before us by a different hostess. we told the hostess we were before that party, she said our party was not all there. yes it was. finally got seated by a third hostess. not a very good choice on the menu if you didn't want pizza. I ordered ribeye steak sandwich which was good but was not very hot. my niece's stromboli was not cooked all the way, it was doughy in the middle. her french fries were cold. the real kicker was when I asked for a refill on my ice tea it would cost me another dollar. are you kidding me? I've never been to a restaurant that didn't give you free refills of ice tea. they put it in a tall glass full if ice and about a cup of tea in it. how much does it cost to make a picture of ice tea, a quarter maybe. how cheap can you be? it was very loud and there was a booth full of drunks yelling and acting like a bunch if idiots. a real family atmosphere. needless to say we will not be going back...
Read moreI've been hearing how good this place is for a while from coworkers and customers but never wanted to make the 30 minutes drive from Allentown... I am so glad I finally did! My wife and I visited this place for the first time about a month ago. Our waiter, Jet, was awesome! He gave us plenty of his recommendations.
We shared an order of mozzarella sticks and each got a cheesesteak (the snuzzled for me and the JJ for her). Everything was amazing! The cheesesteaks... Oh man! That bread was so damn fresh (everything was hot and fresh!), and the sandwich was packed with meat! Might be my favorite cheesesteak in the Lehigh Valley! Absolutely no complaints at all! We went back last week, had Jet again as our waiter and he not only remembered us, but remembered our order too! This time we also got the fried mushrooms and those were amazing!
The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable! The place is cash only but they do have an atm on site is you don't have cash.
Highly recommended!...
