Sidekicks — Restaurant in Rockmart

Being completely honest: this place was not good. I got the steak and gravy with mashed potatoes and okra. The steak has no flavor and was just overall not good. The potatoes was steaming hot like they just got microwaved. The okra was okay.

However, the place was not clean - it needs to be deep cleaned! The wall the table was against had stuff splattered on it and you could clearly tell it’s been there for while. A lot of walls did.

We are in the middle of a pandemic and we watched a lady “clean” 3 tables. She took about 3 or 4 thin napkins and half way cleaned all 3 tables. She did not clean the salt, pepper or ketchup that was on the tables everyone has touched. She did not clean underneath those items either. She did not clean the sides of the tables nor the seats. And there was still food particles/napkin particles when she was done. A couple was sat down a few mins later. The napkin she used to clean all 3 tables by the time she was done was almost nonexistent.

I was very disappointed. And a bit disgusted. We waited a long time for our appetizer and a long time for our food.

I do have to say the young lady that waited on us...

May 3, 2022 We went to Sidekicks today for lunch and I am sure the food would have been great if someone would have waited on us. We sat down in the front room, there was one couple already there. After we sat down another man came in and sat behind me. Two police officers came in after him and sat behind my husband. Apparently the waitress knew the man sitting behind me since she had a conversation with him and then took his drink order. She then walked past us and ask the police officers for their drink order, they placed their order at that time as well. We were not acknowledged. She returns with everyone’s drinks and leaves to take an order in the back room. Another couple comes in and sit across from us and she speaks to them. We still have not been acknowledged. We sat there for a few more minutes before leaving. As we were walking out, the waitress was standing at the front talking with someone checking out. I guess since she did not know us, we were not...

We ate here today and it’s the first time we have ate here in probably 6 months. The owners have let this place go to the dogs. They really don’t care how the servers treat their customers. They obviously don’t care that we sat there 30 minuets waiting on menus and our drink order to be taken. They food was terrible. Chicken was burnt and the French fries tasted like it was cooked yesterday. My husbands bbq was very dry and under cooked. The salad bar had ants crawling on it. The server never refilled our drinks I had to ask three times before someone actually came and refilled them. When the lady asked how was everything? I told her and all she said was I’m sorry. That’s it! Never went to Check the ant situation at the salad bar or anything. Don’t waste your money going here. You’d be better off eating out of the dumpster. It’s about the same as what...
