NEVER AGAIN!! My aunt liked that she could get a vegetable plate and that is why we went all the time, for her. The tables look nasty. The food is never consistent. Service is a joke there. You have to ask for refills on your drink every time. I've ordered dipping sauce before the order has been completed at the table, before the food was brought, when the food was brought, then several more times, and never gotten any sauce. They have one item that's good and that's the boom boom shrimp. Today the boom boom shrimp was so hot I could only eat 2-3. We mentioned this to one of the servers. (Notice I didn't say our server, she had been missing 20 minutes) She said she'd see what she could do. Some time later a very angry older woman comes out of the kitchen and comes to our table. The only thing she said to me was "we make that right every time"! I told her I was sure I'd eaten it 30 times and it was never this hot. Surprise... she again only uttered the same 6 words! "We make that right every time"! I told her I was glad the customer could always be right and she stormed off. We'd been done eating for 10-15 minutes at this point. I again ask if we could please pay and was told to "give her a moment". Finally our server appears. I was told I had to pay for the shrimp that was so hot 3 people ate 5 shrimp, and these are tiny popcorn shrimp! I had to say that's it. I paid 51 gladly, because we finally got to leave. My wife and I are always on the lookout for good Mom and Pop restaurants to try out. We tried out MeMe's on a referral from a friend. I'm sorry to say it was both good and bad. My wife had a hamburger on enriched bun and it was fantastic. I, on the other hand ordered my favorite catfish. I got two long and narrow strips and it would have taken four of them to equal one fillet with a heavy coating of spiced cornmeal breading and some spiced and sliced apples that were great. The sweet tea was 3 bucks ( ouch )! We were there to try them out and also ordered desert. My pineapple upside down cake ( 3x3 ) was storebaught and 4 bucks, My wife also got a 4 dollar piece of key lime pie ( couldn't believe it ) ..... $30.00 lunch ( plus tip ) in Rockwood. They had plenty of help and the service was Very good and the place was very clean, even the bathrooms. Seems like the thing to do is order items that had to be cooked on the grill and drink water. We recently went to Me Me's Restaurant in Rockwood, TN. This was my first time here. My Girlfriend and I went for Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch, whatever. I did not know what to except but quickly became pleasantly surprised. Our Waitress/Server was Kiah. I actually ordered 2 Over Easy Eggs, Toast and Bacon, Kiah recommended that the Rockwood Starter would be the same thing and they could put the gravy on the Side, which worked out because my Girlfriend wanted the Gravy for her Biscuit. My Girlfriend ordered the 3 Egg Omelette with Ham, Onions, Green Peppers, Tomatoes, Cheddar Cheese & Hash Browns. Some things went home in the To Go Box that Kiah brought for us. My experience at Me Me's Restaurant was very good and I would recommend that if you are in Rockwood, TN, stop by Me Me's Restaurant for a bite.
