In town for work. Kinda stumbled across the entire Mill project looking for some craft beer to take to the hotel room. Place is a nice, comfortable place with a laid back vibe. Very welcoming, even to this middle-aged fat guy. Lol. The owners are in the process of redoing things a bit but a solid collection of a dozen or so taps ranging from a couple IPAs to saisons, sours, and a few dark beers along with a belgian or two - including a quad. Shelves were sparse due to the reworking of things but what they had was very good and somewhat unique. Feel like I found a winner in the area. Headed back tomorrow for dinner to check out the other places there as the whole Mill project looks really cool. Nicest area I've seen in Rocky...
Read moreThe place is cool but the bathrooms and service are terrible. There are plenty of other great locations to drink at than coming here. If you want to be trapped in a bathroom and can’t get out (with rude owners) then this is your place! Apparently the bathrooms lock you in at midnight. There is a button on the inside that is suppose to let you out but it doesn’t work half of the time. How do you have a bathroom at a location that automatically locks people in when you while you are still open for business. I would never suggest going here.    Read moreThis is a really cute little bottle shop with lots of local craft beers and wine, cider and some seltzer as well. There's a bar with 14 taps and its beautiful. They have music some nights and Monday its open from 5-9, but all draft are $4 ! Great way to sample a new type of brew. Goat island is in the Rocky Mount Mills. It's nice to be able to walk around and sit outside with your beer when the weather is nice. I like this little spot, worth checking out if you're into beer. Nice people too. They are always expanding product line and improving the bar. Check it out yourself, there's lots to explore in this area....
