Rocky Mount Mills — Attraction in Rocky Mount

Went there for brunch today. Waited a long time for our food but the reason I don't recommend this place is all the grits that came with our orders has an extremely strong bleach taste. It's a shame because we all love grits. I discreetly told the staff and they seemed surprised but something was very wrong there. Either the staff never tasted those grits or they were perhaps impaired. Could not be eaten. Breakfast bowl was full of the bleach grits as a side. Paid an extra $4 for bacon and egg with it and only got 1/2 a fried egg and 1/2 a piece of bacon. The breakfast tacos were made with fresh corn tortillas but they were too dry, broke on the ends and the bottoms fell right out when you picked one up. Had to dump them on the little platter they were served on and try to eat with a fork. Hate to leave a bad review but the staff needs...

Wonderful. Beautiful. I believe my mom has a stint there when it was a operative yarn factory. As a New Yorker, I had a vision of loft apartments for the defunct warehouses. I'm glad someone with the money had the vision too. I grew up in Rocky Mount. Fell out of love with it. Went to college (in Raleigh) and didn't look back. This area, particularly the space that houses #PrimeRestaurant, was a little ray of hope and inspiration. There's sooo much more that can be done in the city. I also want to shout out #Pinspiration ! Rocky Mount NC has this great place to relax & enjoy food, beer, music and just relax. It is a campus and not one place. 3 restaurants, 4 breweries, coffee shop, bottle shop & room to stretch out. Want to walk? This is in the middle of the Tar River Trail, running parallel with the Tar River.

Boaters & kayakers can use one of two boat ramps on this slow moving River - but these are at parks East & West of the Mill Campus.
