El Pueblito | Mexican Restaurant (Prairie Creek) — Restaurant in Rogers

My husband and I went and had dinner here last week. We used to come to the same building when it was a previous Mexican Food Resturaunt. So we were excited to see how the food was in comparison. We ordered the 'Razorback Nachos' as the app. Let me TELL YOU....AMAZING ! THE meat carnitas on the nachos were so good. I would order just that next time because it was amazing. Also, it was enough to share between 2 and pretty much fill us up before our plates even arrived. For our entrees, I ordered the chicken chimichanga, and he ordered the steak chicken and shrimp fajitas. I was actually very disappointed with my "chimichanga"... it didn't seem like it had been deep-fried. The meat was cold and just overall Not a very good entree. I was surprised after having the appetizer because it was so good. I expected the rest to be as well. My husband said his fajitas were good. I wouldn't know because I can't eat shrimp. The service was so so. We didn't receive plates and silverware with the appetizer without asking. The server was not very customer friendly and didn't make it feel like an inviting warm welcoming atmosphere. I noticed it wasn't just the one server. Our table was dirty when we first sat down. It easily took 10 minutes to even get greeted at the table and give a drink order after we were sat. They were not that busy with the number of servers on duty. I know how it goes ,I've worked the food industry, and they were just not doing the utmost to make it an enjoyable experience. I think it has potential, but I could definitely use some upgrades in some areas. We definitely want to have a great restaurant in this area of NWA. So overall will I return yes ! However if it goes that way again When I do I probably will not again. We will see.

Side note: because the nachos were amazing, I went back a week later and ordered some to-go to take home. The order I received was nowhere near as good quality wise as the order I had in the restaurant. Almost as if they knew it was a to-go and didn't put as much effort in preparing the Nachos as they would've in-house. So yeah, I was...

It was way over priced and wasn't worth the wait. This is based on a simple appetizer order that I thought (even during busy hours) wouldn't take longer than 5-7 minutes to prepare as some addition to cheese dip. Apparently I was mistaken as it takes 10 minutes to add Chorizo along with grilled vegetables to an already made prepared cheese dip!! I was even told to wait in my vehicle (bus) and it would brought to me. After my 12 minute wait, I walked back inside and my order was sitting on the side waiting for me to enjoy. I would've rated higher and was prepared to give a better review based on the courtesy displayed by an employee that assisted an individual with a large to go order, until it was my turn and I didn't receive equal treatment. It may have been a bad day based on it being the only restaurant open and they were busier than usual or something else. But for now, I'm giving it a rating of 3 merely due to what I witnessed the courtesy of an employee and not based on my service or item ordered that was way over priced for the amount received. Normally when I order cheese dip from anywhere that is of "special" order, has at least filled half the container or more. It barely reached half if that and the container wasn't even properly closed that lead to some spilling out into the bag in which...

The service has gone WAY downhill! It's like they don't really care if you're there or not. We sat at the bar and several of the staff walked behind the bar doing one thing or another and never even greeted or acknowledged us. One gentleman finally did and then looked put out that he had to take our order. No one ever smiled at us. No one came back to refill drinks or see if our food was done correctly or see if we needed anything. When we were ready for the check, our server seemed to have disappeared! We waited about 10-15 minutes to see if he'd come back by. We finally asked someone else to give us our check. They went to fetch our server. He printed the check, put it in the folder with a pen, said nothing, and walked off. Some would say I shouldn't have left a tip but I worked as a bartender and a waitress for many years. Doing this gets you remembered in a negative way IF.... IF we ever go back to this establishment again. I left him a small but fair tip to prove a point.
