Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant.........I have eaten here about 3 different times with friends. The very first visit; I was very disappointed and decided that I would not go back again. I got the impression that they didn't seem to care about what their customers thought. It was very loud because of the televisions in each corner of the room and the waiters and waitresses had to yell to be heard over all of the loud televisions. One television could not be heard over another so it was turned up until ALL of the televisions were competing with each of the other ones and the wait staff was yelling to compete with each of the televisions.............again bringing about a very loud area that you not forget in a short time. But I did go back again with yet another friend. And even though the noise was down by a few levels...........my impression was still pretty much the same in that the wait staff and the food preparers did not seem to care about what their customers thought of their food. But instead of what the food looked like this time. It looked delicious and very appetizing this time but when you tasted it this time it was very disappointing . It just didn't keep you wanting to taste everything on your plate. I would not recommend it to anyone else. This is just my opinoin and a one time visit. Hopefully it has changed . It seems as though they have a lot of business so I am hoping that they have improved on everything. At first glance; it seems to be such a welcoming and a delicious place and that fools you until you taste the food which left me disappointed. As I said that is only one person's opinoin of one visit. I hope that people do not give up on it and keep giving their opinoins so that the staff can keep improving. I would like to see it become a very talked about eating place and a place that people want to meet...
Read moreMy family and I celebrated my birthday here tonight and I can't say enough GOOD about Los Arcos, Jose, and his amazing employees. There were 9 of us. We showed up without a reservation. We came bearing kids and cake and any other place in our area would have done the "I'm so sorry..." but not the employees at Los Arcos. They told us there would be a wait to ready an area for us. There was. 5 minutes.
The waitress (I didn't catch her name) led us to their beautiful patio area and we were treated like the only guests there despite their being at near capacity. Following our meal, we were treated to the whole hat-embarassing- birthday-serenade but they made it so much FUN!!
I worked at the greatest Mexican restaurant in Missouri (Primas!!) So I'm very picky when it comes to a Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing, the menu was so broad, the prices were great, and their bar knows its way around a Bloody Mary!! That should explain any typos you find!
I gave Los Arcos 5 stars only because I wasn't given the option to...
Read moreMy wife and I were traveling all day and we decided to stay in Rolla, MO. After resting a bit we decided to try the Mexican restaurant in town that the clerk at the hotel we stayed in recommended. My wife and I arrived at the restaurant and the young hostess told us it would be a ten minute wait (we were the only ones on the waitlist) so we went out side because they didn’t have seating for people waiting inside. Mind you, it was 90 degrees out with 70% humidity. Yes, they were busy but there were several couples that checked in after us and as we sat in the heat we started noticing these couples were being seated before us. I went in and spoke to the hostess 40 minutes into our “10 minute wait” and asked why all these people were seated before us? She had no answer so we left. Long story short.....if you are not a local, don’t bother going there to eat and spend...
