Great place with amazing Wisconsin cheese curds! Every time we go here we have to get the cheese curds. Their bacon egg and cheese burger is also very good. They have a good selection of craft beer also. Heads up, if you want your meat medium-well ask for rare. That's the only down side. UPDATE: I got another burger and it was cooked perfectly! Check out their comedy night! A super fun time with a ton of laughs! Make sure to get a reservation because they do sell out of tables on comedy night.

One of the few restaurants around the lake, great spot to get some food and have a drink. Large outdoor patio for those nice summer evenings. The spinach artichoke dip is delicious, one of the best I've had. I also had the chicken pot pie, the flaky bread was really tasty, however the inside was a bit bland and wasn't especially creamy. Overall though the food was good and so was the vibe!

Service was great and fast. I had a burger that had slaw, onion straws and BBQ sauce and my wife had a turkey club sandwhich. Both were delicious. I also picked up a sweet growler for my collection. The Oberon was ice cold! Prices were reasonable. I'd go back for the service alone. Good service is the most important thing to me on whether I return or not. They have it! Great job to them!

I highly recommend making reservations. Thankfully we did since we had 6 people. The bar was full and more than 1/2 the tables were already reserved. This place is not kid friendly, and I only say that because there was no more kids items on the menu. We got onion rings, cheese curds, and spinach artichoke dip for appetizers. The pitas for the dip were hard as a rock, the cheese curds came out as one large clump, and the onion rings were nearly burnt. My son and I ordered fish with french fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw had hardly any wet ingredients, our french fries were on the cooler side, and our fish was not great. Mine definitely had a fishy taste. Lake perch is one of my favs, but this was not. I only ended up eating one piece. By the time we got home my stomach was hurting real bad and so was my sons. The other 4 people we were with had little to no complaints though. Our waitress was great and she did tell us they have new people in the kitchen. We understand there’s always a learning curve, and we will give them another shot, but we won’t be going back...

My wife and I drove from the Chicago area to Manitou Beach for a wedding last weekend and she is a huge fan of Shepherds Pie. Upon perusing the restaurant menus in the area, I found Shepherds Pie on the Boot Jack Tavern Menu and booked a reservation on a Friday night. The restaurant was crowded and their sign outside the entrance door informed us they were understaffed and asked customers to be patient with them. Even though it was so bustling, our server Shelby consistently came over to see how we were doing, to check if we needed drink refills, and to tell us how much longer the wait would be for our food to be served. The wait was worth it. My wife said this was the BEST Shepherds Pie she had ever had. The sauce on it was just outstanding. I had the Brooklyn Ribeye steak and although it was cooked a little more than my medium rare request, it was still very tasty. We had a great evening here and the great tasting Shepherds Pie sure scored huge points for me with my wife! We highly recommend...

Very disappointed in the menu and our meal... the menu is very limited. The building is cute, but the dining room was dirty. The draught list is nice and they had a great cider on tap. The local cheese curds were delicious! But, the rest of our dinner was horrible! The medium hamburger was raw and the well done hamburger was burnt to a crisp, the house chips were way over salted and the fries were a disappointment. The waitress was new, but she was trying. We have no complaints with her. They weren't busy at all, but said that they were short handed to explain the dirt and how long it took to get our drinks. The location is great and we like the local drinks on draught. We want to like it, but it will be difficult to go...
