I must say I thought this would be my go to spot for coffee on my way to work but guess not. Now I’m a big coffee freak and every time a new shop opens I have to try. That being said, they make “ok” coffee… nothing special. But it’s the service and reward system that just keeps getting worse. I’ve had to basically yell my order at the speaker box or ask the barista to speak up because they talk so low or I’ll have to repeat my order after I’ve already said my order. I honestly believe that they don’t have morning huddles because none of the staff that work the counter or window know about the rewards program or to ask the customer if they have a phone number for the rewards program, which never works and when you give your number you don’t receive any points and when you tell them about it they say they’ll fix it but don’t or tell you that they can’t add previous points to your account (weird). So I have taken my business back to Dutch bros...
Read moreThe coffee is fine. Not great, not bad, and prepared well. Which, for a neighborhood coffee place, seems about right.
The problem is that they are way overpriced for what you get. $10 for a large iced latte with almond milk?!? Even Starbucks, the Queen of Expensive Coffee, charges maybe $6 for the same thing.
It turns out I had a meeting at Starbucks the following week within 10 miles of this location, so I made a point of ordering the same thing just to see if I had missed The Great Inflatinizing of Coffee.
Usually, these neighborhood places have people happy not to work at a chain and are friendly and knowledgeable. Not so much here.
I looked it up later and it's a franchise place, so I don't know if it's the franchise as a whole or just the local owners who have created an unhappy work environment.
And I probably won't find out because, while I didn't know what my limit was for paying for a cup of coffee before, its...
Read moreI went there yesterday 12/07 for the grand opening. The almond croissant far exceeded my expectations as it was pretty delicious and big for the price. I also ordered a maple pecan latte which was ok as it just had the flavoring and was not really sweet. The mocha latte however was a bit better as it was sweeter but definitely had dark chocolate notes. On their Instagram they advertised they were giving away free prizes for the opening but when I had asked the owner he had said I had to have followed and commented on their Instagram first. I clearly saw he was giving gifts to the people he knew but not to any other customer. The reasons I give 3 stars are because of the Maple Pecan latte and falsely promoting free gifts when they had advertised it on their Instagram for the grand opening. Just a heads up for those lactose intolerant people they have a 95 cent up charge on...
