Umami Hibachi Grill & Sushi — Restaurant in Rossville

My first impression of the outside is like your typical hibachi. The inside, however, is very different! Very clean & spacious; nobody else was there, so it was nice to sit & eat our meals in peace. The staff are very friendly & professional. They catered to us & suggested great options. My girlfriend & I tried various types of sushi & appetizers. It is a bit pricey, but the amount of food made up for it that we even had leftovers, which is rare for us! The manager Chris was so nice & sociable. I enjoyed the atmosphere & personal touch he added to the restaurant. There's also a snowball stand at the side of the restaurant, which was a nice treat to a happy eatery. OMG! I think it was one of the best sushi I’ve tried in US. I door dashed my order and put bunch of extras like extra wasabi n soy sauce, I asked them for sriracha and they still gave me all of that and hooked me up with miso soup which I didn’t order. Now the sushi tasted SOOOO FREAKING GOOD! So fresh! This was the most gentle sushi rice I’ve ever tried. Cooked perfectly. I’m amazed. I’m a truck driver and always travel and I’m not always getting the best experience w random sushi places but this place is just amazing! I was craving sushi for days on a road and it hit the spot! If I’m ever picking up or delivering to this area I will definitely order from them...

The food was DISGUSTING. They sold me pure mush. The tray was literally filled with nasty mushy rice and the chicken and shrimp were bland. The entire tray looked white and bland. My mother spit her food out. I felt like I was going to puke after eating it. I had to drink a lot of juice to get the taste out. My aunt frowned her face when I showed her my plate. I ended up giving it to someone else who said he enjoyed it, which I don’t know how but atleast it didn’t get wasted I guess lol 🤷🏾‍♀️... But I will NEVER go this restaurant again. I should have known because the restaurant didn’t have anyone in there and the windows were dirty and the food stink...
