I've had the privilege of stopping by the Squaw Bar on several occasions and have enjoyed every visit. What is refreshing about this establishment is that it's cozy and not over refined like other establishments. This means that one can get to know just who they are enjoying the company of. The Squaw Bar even has the latest technology that blends in well with a good old fashion campfire by the sands. I'm speaking of .SVG TV... no not your regular run of the mill squabbles from all over the globe but a personalized cast of stars that light up the evening sky. Take for example the ale tale of Helen Liz Hunt. It's an October ghost story told at this time in the light of the Hunters Moon. The legend says that Helen walks the .3 mile route from Hunt Ave on a westwards journey. She crosses Helendale Road and arrives at the Squaw Bar in search of dark rye and molasses bread 🍞. Helen pays for her meal in Indian Rupee legal tender and enjoys the Raisins And Honey as the Sultan as played by myself offers her a 🍔 hamburger bear hug. That same 0.3 mile journey that Helen takes is also represented upon the Hudson river river that flows from north to south in eastern New York. A 315-mile journey as compared to 0.3 miles and that fraction is what makes Scalable Vector Graphic TV what it is! Now understand that SVG TV an (fx) Kretzschmar IA deusta ⏧⊎ media process is often very sultry so you'll need age verification to participate. This means that on Helen Hunt's photo ID the bartender will acknowledge the Eagle & Deer 3-D symbols which are part of this Native American Indian ₹ pay per view. In this episode entitled HUD, Helen and I battle it out on the court Skins vs. Shirt... and yes I enjoyed the view of the urban development thoroughly. But since I lost the match I needed Helen's light to reignite the campfire as we snuggled in the Danish hides or Hud's that she collected along the way to the Squaw Bar. So stop on in and write your own episode of life that you see and please do not forget to add S.A.L.T. to your...
Read moreFirst time visitor to this bar! I have driven past it 100's of times always saying I need to check it out. I was on a Father-Son outing finding a barber in the area and we ended up stopping here to see what it was all about.
We were both pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. We did not go there to eat, but to have a few beers. We arrived at the 3 p.m. domestic beers for $2 time of day! I can't remember the last time I paid $2 for a beer anywhere in the last 4 years! They were ice cold and the bartender Beth was very nice and welcoming.
She gave us the rundown on the bar and all of the happenings that they have including karaoke, volleyball, pool and darts. There are also plenty of video gaming machines if that is what you like to do.
We were basically the guests to a host of regulars who made us feel welcome and part of the group. We engaged in general small talk as the Cubs game was playing on two screens at the bar. We were also inquiring about fishing and that is $2 per person to go outback and fish off the pier and their property by the water. We are going to give that a try soon.
We did get a good recommendation for that barber shop! We ended up booking two appointments for the following Friday and will visit the Squawbar after the haircuts.
You just never know what you will walk into and we are happy we went and look forward to...
Read moreThis bar has quickly become one of my go-to spots! The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, making it perfect whether you’re out with friends or just want to unwind after work. The bartenders are super friendly, quick with service, and know how to make a great cocktail—every drink I’ve had here has been on point. They also have a solid beer selection and creative specials that keep things interesting.
What I love most is how welcoming it is to volleyball players. After games, it’s the perfect place to hang out with teammates, grab a drink, and keep the good vibes going. It feels like a second home—friendly, inviting, and...
