Truly disappointed – the prices are ridiculous & the service is horrible. The Google reviews posted are truly misleading & the Yelp Review of 08/29/2015 seems planted. When you have a bill of around $200 - food & service should be impeccable!! Wait staff is not properly trained which is a failure of management. All drinks are served on a tray - even if it is one. This is not a 'shot in a beer bar' -- this is supposed to be a "fine Italian dining establishment". When you have a bill of around $200 – food & service should be impeccable!! Wait staff is not properly trained which is a failure of management. All drinks are served on a tray – even if it is one. You NEVER carry anything in your hands – always use a tray! The waitress carried drinks & bread to the table – never used a tray (and we had to ask for bread). Basic serving etiquette - you serve from the right & take from the left – you don’t give a guest a dish and pass it along. All food is brought out at the same time – Kitchen failure. The minestrone soup was watered down & horrible. I asked for a specific glass of pinot on their menu which they didn’t ‘carry’ – so why have it on the menu. The brand I received on recommendation was medicore at best. My son’s girlfriend couldn’t even eat the gnocchi and “amazing vodka sauce”, the stuffed shells tasted like they were store bought frozen. I had better stuffed shells from Stouffers. Admittedly, the appetizers were the best part of the entire meal – they were made fresh! Suggestion – prices should be slashed by half, and cut back on menu this will enable you to make items fresh – not reheat frozen pre-made. Further, any restaurant or service oriented company in this day in age that doesn't have a web page & only a FB page should be a "red flag". As this was a birthday dinner from my son & his girlfriend, didn’t want to complain as to service & food – but we will NEVER be back & will tell others not to waste your money. The coupons we received to come back were tossed in the trash along with the leftovers as they weren’t even fit...
Read moreThis is a quaint little restaurant, hidden away from the main roads, in the Fox lake area. A nice place to hang with coworkers, family or friends. The decor is old and needs to be updated. The food is delicious, the service is good, and it's pricey, but it seems to be a Mom and Pop shop, so these days it's expected. I ordered the 12oz. Fillet Mignon (so I could have leftovers for tomorrow), but I'm pretty sure they gave me the 6oz. I love it rare, with a crispy seer, and it was cooked perfectly! Also had a baked potato, and a side salad. Disappointed you only get 1 slice of a cucumber and 1 slice of a tomato on a bed of the white part of the iceberg lettuce, but it was still good. Requested a side of asparagus... cooked well. Everyone in our group loved their meal, and they all looked delicious! I'm surprised it wasn't busier, but it's a Thursday. I expect this place must be much busier on the weekends. 🤔 Because the food is pricey, plan to spend at least $75 per person, with dinner and drinks. I wish I took a picture... as most of the meals looked delicious, but looks like other patrons posted some, so you get the idea. Anyway, I'll...
Read moreCould use some improvements here. 8 tables and a bar. Slot machines next to bar. 2 Servers were nice but seemed like they had a million to do. Being that this was in Ingleside I did not have high expectations. It was exactly what I expected. A home converted into a restaurant/bar. Non-issues with this. Meal was surf turf. Bread was great to snack on. Salad was not bad. Filet was not that great due to some weird steak seasoning. It made it taste rancid not in the sense of nasty but like it was an old cut. I think if they just didn't use the seasoning it would have been better. The Lobster was definitely not good. Under cooked and mushy. Just needed a few more minutes Under the broiler. I also had a side of pasta Ala vodka. That was dam good! Wife had a good tasting chicken Alfredo. Total time was 1hr 20 minutes to eat. Bill was 113 without tip. Overall not bad for Ingleside. The office chairs at the tables need...
