I met with college friends for lunch. Our friend Linda picked the spot and Jang Ga Nae. She said she watched a Korean drama “Let’s Eat”, and the main characters had Gam Ja Tang so she wanted it, too. Her Korean husband found this restaurant, and it was one of the best Gam Ja Tang she’s had.
Banchan 반잔
Not too many banchan. I like the seaweed and bean sprouts. Oh and there’s a Yelp check-in special to get a free soda.
해물파전 Seafood Pa Jun 海鮮煎餅 Seafood Pancake | $15.99
We ordered a Seafood Pancake to share. This is like a Korean pizza with tons of seafood in it. It was crispy on the outside, and very flavorful.
발보 감자전골 Palbo Gam Ja Jun Gol 八寶燉骨頭湯 Spicy Boiled Soup w/ Potatoes & Pork Ribs Casserole | $27.99 (S)
A small Gam Ja Tang casserole was more than enough for 4 of us. The broth was slightly spicy and very rich. The pork ribs was tender and the meat just fell off the bone. Love the green sesame leaves in the soup. And there was even an abalone in...

I would actually say it is the best we have had so far compared to the famous ones around the LA area. The only difference is you have to call in advance to order their marinated crab, usually 2 weeks, I believe, after the beginning of the month, making it extra special. This is a family owned business that says a lot about the place how each food they serve is from the heart. Give it a try. You'll probably come back over and over like us. Oh, and their side dishes...
