The location has been several different types of restaurants over the years. I added it to my list and got there finally for an early dinner. I love the colorful bar area. The indoor seating is situated similar to a shiney diner and plenty of room. The salsa is chunky and very good. Spicy with an ever so slight hint of sweet. I got the Pollo Tlayudas. Instead of the refried beans and cabbage, it had a fried cactus on top. It tasted similar to okra and I liked it. The serving was enormous! Me and e of my female friends could have shared. It was delicious and great amount of cheese inside. Hubs got the Enchiladas Verdes con Pollo. The green sauce they use has a great flavor and is fairly spicy. The dishes seemed more authentic than the normal Mexican restaurant. There was a slight language barrier but it was fine and the meal was great. I would recommend giving it a try.

This place is remarkably good. Chips are excellent, salsa is excellent. Guac is freshly made and nice portion. Everything seems freshly made in house. Prices are acceptable but portions are very generous. Never heard of a Tlayuda before but I tried it and it was great. Hard to think of a place with better food than this in the triangle, one of the best restaurants I've found. The hours on the door are not accurate, but the hours currently on Google are correct.

My BFF and I decided to try this place and we was not disappointed. I wish I would have got our servers name but he was awesome! We got the Flautas de Pollo and Pollo Quesadillas Fritas with sides of Rice! They were both delicious! You could tell the food was made with fresh ingredients and love! They even gave us two glasses of fresh homemade lemonade! So good! Highly recommended and we will be going back!

Finally, I can't believe it! A Mexican restaurant that is actually good, not good very good. I am a Los Angeles transplant so I know good Hispanic food. I have been to many Mexican restaurants in the area and very very disappointed. This place is outstanding. The food is presented very well extremely fresh and tasty. The drink which I had a spicy margarita was excellent. The coffee is outstanding, recommend trying their expresso rum drink. I am so happy to finally find a good Mexican restaurant! Not only will I be going back, this is now my go-to. Please give it a try you will not be disappointed! If I have any problem with this place, it is their inability to keep regular hours. ALWAYS check the website to see if...

After trying to check out this restaurant for months, we were finally able to find a time when they were actually open. The food is certainly closer to authentic Mexican, so if you love Tex Mex, it's probably not for you. The place was nearly empty - I'm guessing others have struggled as we have to get there while they're open - but the one front of house staff was very nice. The food was pretty good, just different, and the service was okay. Probably won't go back, although the churros were exactly as I remembered from I went to school in Spain (I never encountered churros while in Oaxaca).

Bottom line, it's certainly worth trying unless you are huge fan of the other Mexican options you'd find...
