Dairy Queen Store — Restaurant in Royal Oak

I’m not sure what happened to this location but it is terrible. Ive lived in the area and have been coming here for years. After a really bad experience, I’ve given this place 3 tries over the last few weeks, and each time is worse than the other. Usually when you go to a chain you know you can count on the consistency and taste…. They must being mixing ingredients wrong or have spoiled product because it taste way off. Also their soft serve machine must be old or the owner never got it fixed because each time the soft serve on the cone was so melted then it just fell over first lick into the parking lot. The staff was graicious enough to make a new one each time because they say that’s their number 1 complaint. You figure if you get so many complaints you would fix the issue.🤷🏽‍♂️ The quality of everything is subpar at best. I will not be back to this location… enough is enough. This place is normally good. However, today the worker did a few things that irritated me. First, I asked for two blizzards to go. The worker knew I wanted them to go (since I told him several times). So he decided it would be a good idea to cram a spoon into the blizzards and spear the lid over the spoons. The first one made a mess because there was too much and it was hard to get the lid on with a spoon jammed in it. The second one had quite a bit over the top. Instead of getting a tall clear lid, he decides to scrap off about 4-5 spoons worth from the top into the sink. What a waste! I even asked him why he wasted all that ice cream and mentioned he should have used a tall clear lid. He mumbled something. Made me regret tipping them. :(

When I got home I unpacked a leaking mess with these damn spoons sticking...

Don't go here when there are other Dairy Queens close by and other mom and pop ice cream places close by that have better products.

I don't know if their blizzard machine is broken or the staff just don't care. Pictured are two cotton candy blizzards the one on the left is from a different Dairy Queen the one on the right is from the Dairy Queen on Rochester road. Plus the one on the right was ordered with extra cotton candy pieces and flavor. It was basically vanilla with a cotton candy piece here or there. This is also not even close to the first time this has happened, which is why I decided to do a comparison. Waste of money in my opinion. Will not...
