I'd like to take a moment and recognize the hard working waitresses/bartenders of this establishment. They have endured hell mentally and physically on the emotional rollercoaster that has become Mary's. Now they are single handedly being blamed for the rapid decline of the business by the owner himself. Ken can not seem to take responsibility for the aftermath of his decisions. In a cowardly attempt to save his own reputation he has put the fault on his staff, which is entirely untrue. The bar staff has always maintained positivity and professionalism in every aspect imaginable. If they were responsible for the lack of customers in anyway, I do not think they would have managed to keep their jobs amongst three different owners. If I do recall correctly, these are the same women who were able to continuously run an entire bar for hours successfully. Their tips said more than my words could now about how great their service was. Now, they are barley making enough to take home to their families and they are the ones taking blame. The heart of your bar is your kitchen. When your kitchen fails, your business follows in suite. Maybe the man deliriously burning steak after steak, who thinks he can cook...
Read moreOh boy where to start! My family and I have eaten at marys on a couple different occasions and the food was usually pretty darn good..... Not today. My 5yr old daughter ordered the chicken strips And applesauce. Literally almost lost my appetite bye just smelling the chicken its self. It had a horrid rotten smell almost like stink bait. My fiance ordered the 16oz porterhouse. When it came to the table it could have been very easily mistaken for a pork steak. It was white on the outside. Now im no expert but every beef steak I have ever eaten was never white..lol she at least said it tasted good. Finally I ordered the double cheese burger. It was very visually appealing but as I took my first bite all I could taste was rotten meat. Now I'm 5'8" 200lb steak and tater fed guy. I eat meat daily and never complain but I could not eat this burger. Ultimatly I ate my fries and was not charged for the burger. But man will I never eat here again. P.s the service was good. But the food was not. And also there was a bunch of dead flies in the main windowseal right next to our...
Read moreMyself along with several friends have been goin to Mary's for at least 15 years. We all ride motorcycles or classic cars and all live over an hour away. Food and hospitality have always been top notch. The Blue Gill sandwich is awesome! After a recent visit and another great dining experience, we were pulled over by a police officer and given a written warning for making a right turn out of the parking lot. To be honest I understand if it was a hazard looking north, but it's a clear open straightaway. We've made many right turns out of that parking lot over the years. I just wanted to say this incident left a very sour taste in our mouth after making many trips over the years to this...
