Mi Rancho — Restaurant in Rupert

Went there Saturday,Feb 10. They were a little busy but not real bad. Waited to be seated over 5 min, not even acknowledged as we stood there. Finally showed to a table asked if we wanted chips and salsa. Said yes. The chips and salsa was dropped on the table then he left. Sat there another 10 min, no waitress came to take our drink order or anything. In the meantime a couple came in was seated at the table next to us, given chips and salsa. Not a minute later waitress come takes their drink order, goes gets it brinks it back to them then takes their order. Then walks off. I go up to the hostess stand and ask when we were going to be waited on since we had been there before the other customer. Waitress ask "why are you being rude to me? I'm not your waitress." I stated I wasn't being rude just wanted to know how long it would be. She stated she didn't know they were busy and she would be over when she got the other couple order. Now I have been a waitress. You are given sections when you come in. There are 3 tables along the back wall. Why would 2 of those tables be in her section but not the first one? The poor service and her attitude when I asked a question was enough for us we left. We have eaten there before. We've been there when it was busier than it was and when it was only a couple other tables than us us. Service has never been great, but never that rude either. I love Mexican food and this is the closest place, but unfortunately I will drive to...

Last time we will be visiting MI Rancho. Ordered a burrito that had no discription saying there was red sauce on top. Came with red sauce on top couldn't eat it. Asked if we could get a replacement without the sauce. Was charged for both burritos. When we checked out I asked if we could get one of the burritos taken off. What I thought was manager said she would have to call the owner...over a $5 dollar burrito. 2 adults and 1 child meal was $55 dollars +10 dollar tip. Coming from a restaurant manager myself who serves homemade high end food paying $66 dollars for low grade Mexican food in Rupert WV is absolutely insanity to me. Once before when mi rancho was in the older building I paid $30 for chips and an appetizer plus a drink. As a chef I can look at a plate and can pretty much guess the food cost on it and let me tell yall they are charging way to much...

Me and my husband was out for a drive and seen this place and we love Mexican food so we thought to give it a try.Very dissappointed we stoped.Service was not good and our food was swimming in watery cheese..had to pour the water off of my Special La Casa..waitress did not stop by our table but walked past us alot and i think she was avoiding us ...never asking if our food was good or if we wanted refills .When we finished our runny meal we sat at our table awhile waiting on our check that never came.said waitress had been over with her family at another table.We had to go to regester to pay and told the lady of poor service and we had never been there before...not a i'm sorry can we make it right with you just asked what we had and low and behold waitress finally show up with our bill .It is a waste of money will not go back when passing...
