Burger King — Restaurant in Rush City

MUST READ. This Burger King has been a dump since I can ever remember. For at least 10+ years. I regret not having taken pictures ever. I do know there are ones out there on Facebook. The following experience has literally been 9 out of 10 visits. You start by walking in right past the outside garbage that is so full that not one gum wrapper could be added to it. Now enter the building, the first thing you see is a grayish blue cloud of smoke hanging from the ceiling. You make your order as you watch the cooks, without gloves, scratching their faces, rubbing their hands on their greasy pants. Followed by dispensing your soda out of the self serve pop machine surrounded by garbage on the counter. There is a garbage can and a sign to please use the garbage for straw wrappers and the like. Yes you guessed it, this garbage is overflowing onto the floor. Sit down at any one of the sticky tables to enjoy your slapped together sandwich. You may ask though, what if I just go through the drive-thru? You will be greeted by a friendly voice most of the time. You pull up to the single window to pay and hopefully get your order. You pay, then they asked you to pull around to the back side. So there you are sitting behind the Burger King right next to the dumpsters, waiting patiently for someone to come out the door with your food. Now this could happen if you were the only one there at any time of day. And it is known that they do this to reset their timer so corporate doesn't know that they are literally the worst Burger King...

On 6/2 I went in around 6:45pm and the staff that helped me was new. When I ordered she told me to hold a few times so she could ring everything correctly. I ordered all fried food and an Oreo shake, which she thought I said “royal chicken.” I over heard the new employee say to another out loud “ I don’t want to be here anymore” to which the other replied “ It gets better.” The new employee who made the shake did so incorrectly, it was watery and all the ingredients were at the bottom. I looked at the cleanliness of the establishment and then saw it was taking more time than usual. I asked for a refund as a result. The new employee says “Who’s the manager here, this dude wants a refund” another guy said “I’m the manager” he said he wouldn’t give me a refund when someone’s already making the food. I told him I didn’t want the shake. He told me “You don’t get a refund and as I started to walk away, he said “You didn’t have to be rude” I said “All I asked for is a refund” then told me “Get out of here!” Such poor skills as a manger, no training on how to deal with refunds? No ability to try and de-escalate anything, just go right into being rude and disrespectful without caring about anything? Going to make sure to tell everyone not to come to this...

My husband, dog and I got dinner here. We ordered four sandwiches and a cone. A whooper, 2 chicken sandwich’s one without lettuce and an impossible burger. Both chicken sandwiches came without lettuce which was bothersome as we went over the order about 5 times… the other concern is that when we pulled up and paid they said to pull around. I went to pull around because I thought there was a secondary door they had, but all there was, was the back door next to the garbage. I sat there for a bit and thought they would bring my food out to me next to the trash. Let me pull up to the drive-through speaker again and ask what they meant. They meant the door by the garbage. When I didn’t get to the speaker though luckily they said the food was already done and I asked if I could just pull up to the window then instead of the back door next to the trash and they said that was fine. The food itself was great except for the one chicken sandwich lacking lettuce.
