Delicious food, delicious fried pie, excellent service, great quiet homey atmosphere. Absolutely nothing to complain about, except for how far it is from home. We had the fried chicken and the pork plate, everything was excellent. The sweet tea was as good or better than any I've had in my life, the pork was perfect, tender, flavorful, spicy. The sides were all great, the squash, Mac and cheese, perfectly seasoned, great home cooked tasting food. The potato salad reminded me of what my mother made 15 years ago. After paying, we decided on a peach fried pie to take with us, and it was amazing. Tender, fluffy, buttery crust, dusted with sugar and filled with sweet, tender peaches. Can't beat that, absolutely recommend if you're in the area. They also had a drive through and carry out, however you get it, I'm sure it's great.

I ordered a pound of beef to go. Got back to work and it wasn't beef. I called and told them they gave me pork. The lady replied "that's all we have is pork". To which I stated "beef is on your menu and that is what I ordered ". She replied "oh yeah we have beef too, bring it back up here and we'll look at it. " The food is usually very good. Today the hushpuppies were cold, hard and dry but everything else was great and the service is pretty friendly but they aren't real knowledgeable of their own menu which is likely why they are giving the wrong thing and they aren't trying to actually make it right. Check your to go orders before you leave. Still recommend since the food is good and the one girl who works up front is super friendly and helpful.

It looks amazing. The pulled pork was fabulous and the brisket was good until it got cold then they had the same weird taste of the ribs. The ribs tasted like they where reheated in a plastic bag in the microwave. The rolls and cornbread was also warmed in the microwave. I was disappointed I was so excited to try it, and for the most part 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Then my husband asked for no sauce and his was smothered in it. Now I get sometimes that can't be helped cause food is basted with the sauce but when asked for no sauce there should have been no extra sauce put on it. Plus side my niece enjoyed the the chicken strips and fries.

Absolutely love this joint! I know you didn't ask, but here's the backstory anyway: my wife broke her ankle back in fall of 2023, so she couldn't walk. Well, we wanted to get out of the house since she's couped up in there all day-she works from home and had a broken ankle, so needless to say she was sick of looking at the inside of our home. So, in an effort to show her some different scenery, I decided to find some good BBQ joints that were 1) not in Nashville (that drive is sickening to say the least) and 2) a little bit away so we could have a nice, relaxing weekend drive and she could just sit and ride. Well, we live in Clarksville, so we decided to travel up Guthrie HWY and see what we see. Roy's came in CLUTCH! It was a beautiful scenic 1hr drive from the house and the food is outstanding! My wife is especially fond of their white beans and ribs, while I usually get either pulled pork or chicken (you can never go wrong with yardbird). Their serving sizes are generous and the meat falls off the bone. Their service their so far is outstanding as well-very down home and welcoming. Great place to gather as a couple or even as a whole group/family. I will say that we always get take out, but one of these days we'll have to come in for the in-house experience...and their pie! I hear it's as good as the Q, so definitely have to give that a try as well....

Ordered and paid for 2 loaded fries a bbq sandwich with onion straws and potato salad as a side. Never mind the fact the lady at the counter didn’t know what kind of potato salad they served. After I paid for the order another lady came from the back and told the 1st lady they don’t do the onion straws as a side. I had the just refund the sandwich meal. I then pointed out where in the menu it shows the onion straws as a premium side to the 1st lady and she just said, “I dont make the menu”. Well tell it to the other who told you they don’t sell it as a side then…right? Listen I understand having to change things, but not update the menu and then trying to get me pay for the onion fries which charges more makes it look like a scam and I don’t like to be scammed no matter for real or implied. It shouldn’t look that way. The anger of it all…it could have all been avoided simply by updating the menu. If you don’t want to pay the money to do that, honor what is in it,...

This was absolutely the worst tasting BBQ I've ever endured. We got the platter with pork, some kind of stupid shaved fatty beef and ribs in a horrible tasting bbq sauce. It was $17.95 and was the worst waste of money in my lifetime. The pulled pork tasted like lighter fluid, the beef was fatty and tough, the ribs were smothered in a gross red bbq sauce with a horrible flavor. They have rave reviews and I'm thinking, the reviews are coming from family and friends bc this is hands down the worst bbq restaurant Ive ever been too. Again, tasted like lighter fluid and liquid smoked cooked in the oven.. If this is what they call bbq I'm out.. Such a disgrace to all the wonderful people who know BBQ. If they message me and sent me a gift certificate to come eat there for free, I would totally decline. Save your gas and money and go to a real BBQ place.....
