Three ⭐ s for now because I only ordered a smoothie 🥤. Friendly service and short wait time. Barney Smoothie tasted good. Indoor and outdoor seating. Wifi available but it didn't work. The menu for both breakfast 🍳 and lunch looks interesting. I will give it a try. I 🤔 think they are open 8-9 each day. 🍦 Ice-cream for sale. Limited parking. Stones throw from beach 🏖️. I was in the area again and decided to stop by for lunch. I ordered Street Corn Tacos with chicken 🍗 and they tasted good. I had Mint Cookie 🍪 🍦 ice-cream for dessert. Tasted good. Only issues with the food: Price to food ratio is rather small. I understand that the cost of labor, groceries, delivery 🚚 and I can only imagine the price of rent on RT 1A, Rye, right across from the beach 🏖️. So, I'm not complaining. The waffle cone that came with my 🍦 ice-cream tasted a little stale. I don't like to waste food, so I finished it. Other issue, service was a little slow. It took a while for someone to take my order. High points, the girl behind the counter was kind to an older couple who asked where they could get 🍔 hamburgers. They were politely told Petey's, which was nearby. I also saw someone wiping down tables. My wait time was short for my 🌮 tacos. Another customer commented that they work in a heated area. They could feel the heat coming out the order...
Read moreThis was our first visit here. It's easy to find and had convenient parking. I ordered the spicy chicken bowl and my daughter had the lime cilantro shrimp bowl. We decided to take them to go. While we were waiting, we ordered Pico with chips. The serving size for the Pico was extremely small. We didn't even have enough for our chips. I don't think the Pico was made on the premise. It was okay. I asked if there was a bathroom and was informed that there was only a port-a-potty that was really gross. I was surprised there weren't facilities, especially since there is a bar there. When we got our food home, I was disappointed again at the serving size,.specifically of the proteins in our bowls. I had about 2 tablespoons worth of cooked chicken in my bowl. However,. I did enjoy the flavors of the bowl itself. My daughter's shrimp bowl had a small amount of shrimp in her bowl and The shrimp was sliced in half (lengthwise)! I was shocked. For $14 there should have been full pieces of shrimp! The one positive thing I can mention was that the service was good. There are some other things on the menu that sounded really tasty. If we go by another time, we may stop again, but more than likely not go out of our way...
Read moreIf you’re anywhere near Rye, NH and don’t stop by Kooks Cafe & Beach Bar, you’re seriously missing out. This place is a coastal gem; laid-back, colorful, and effortlessly cool with its surf-inspired vibes and breezy tiki bar setup. The food? Phenomenal. From fresh, flavorful tacos to smoothie bowls that taste like summer in a bowl, every bite is packed with love and beachy goodness.
But the real highlight? Our bartender, Gradeigh. This girl is the heart and soul of the bar, super knowledgeable, always smiling, and mixes a mean cocktail that’ll make you forget you’re not actually in the Caribbean. She made us feel like locals from the moment we sat down, and her energy made our whole night. Ask her for a rec—you won’t be disappointed!
This place has the kind of energy you’ll want to bottle up and take home. Highly,...
