We decided to try this new restaurant that opened nearby and stopped by for a late lunch. The place is set up nice and the layout is very chill. The atmosphere and music is nice too. It seems relaxing. The staff seem to be very nice and attentive. The food did not take long to come out and everything tasted fresh and delicious. We got a sweet aroma tea, the calamari, crispy chicken with garlic fried rice, green Thai curry, and mango sticky rice. Everything tasted flavorful and balanced. The tea was refreshing and not too sweet. It was passion fruit flavor this time which we found to be really delightful. The calamari was crispy and the dipping sauce it comes with is a good combination. The fried rice melts in your mouth and the crispy chicken is fried to a perfect crisp where it’s still juicy on the inside. The Thai curry was the perfect combination of flavor and spices. I got it with chicken. I really enjoyed it in comparison to other places. There is mild, medium, and spicy options if you want to add spice. The medium was what I got and it had a nice kick but I love when it kicks a little harder so I’ll try to get the more spicy next time. The medium still had me sweating and sniffling a little so if you can’t tolerate heat stick with the mild. To end it all we wanted to try their mango sticky rice and it also did not disappoint. Everything was a great experience and nothing was a disappointment or a let down. We live nearby so we might have found our new go to restaurant. We will be back for sure. There are plenty of options on the menu that will never have us bored. I suggest coming to give this...
Read moreI'm not here to bad-mouth this restaurant, I just want to help people when deciding if this is where they want to eat.
The restaurant is beautiful! The service was respectful and quick. If you want a fun Thai food experience but don't care much about authentic taste, you will really enjoy this place!
My wife and I eat Thai food a lot. We both really enjoy the punchy flavors and unique spices found in Thai cuisine. YOKO was not "bad" by any means, however with the price and atmosphere of YOKO we expected the food to meet our expectations when it simply didn't. I got Basil Fried Rice and my wife got Pad Thai, and both did not taste as good as food we have gotten for half the price (it was a little less than $20 per plate at YOKO). My "Basil" Fried Rice had more cilantro than basil, and my wife's Pad Thai tasted like a good frozen meal from HEB. This is NOT bad, just also not good, if that makes sense. It's just what I would expect a much cheaper meal to taste like.
So to reiterate, if you want a fun sit down meal in a beautiful restaurant but aren't used to Thai cuisine this is a great place for you! If you just want some good Thai food, maybe try somewhere else....
Read moreWe were very excited to hear that this restaurant was coming to Sachse, and so we stopped in asap after seeing the open sign go up.
We were not disappointed! We each had a salad, nigiri, and an entree, and everything was so delicious. The salad dressing is one of the best I have had - it was gingery and bright. The salmon and yellow tail nigiri was fresh, and the rice was delicious and mild, so it complimented the taste of the fish instead of fighting it. I had the pad kee mow with tofu, which was very buttery and light and the noodles were cooked perfectly, and my husband had the green curry which was SO delicious. After our meal, we were given coconut ice cream to try and holy moly. I’m not usually an ice cream person, but this was to die for. Definitely try it out.
Overall we had an absolutely lovely experience and I highly recommend stopping by. We can’t wait to go back and take our kiddo!
I wish we’d taken photos because the food and the restaurant were absolutely beautiful. I love the koi fish on the wall and the incredible murals.
What a great addition to the Sachse...
