Smiles Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Sagamore Hills Township

I have always enjoyed going to this restaurant but today 12/1/16 something bad happened. I ordered a usual favorite, Pork Egg Foo Young. I picked it up got home started eating it and realized they had given me vegetable foo young. At least their version. The ingredients mirrored the under cooked fried rice except for the rice: egg, carrots, peas, and onion (sweet onion) that's it no broccoli, celery, or whatever else should be in there. The taste was so sweet I couldn't eat it. So I called & explained and they apologized for the mistake and gladly made the Pork selection. Back home with that and again, no bean sprouts, celery,or water chestnuts, just a lot of sweet onions! NASTY! Called back and asked why it didn't have it, they said only onion. Well Only onion is not Egg Foo Young, check any recipe. Don't think I will order that again. Hope they didn't change all...

I went to the Google machine and saw they had 4+ reviews, plus I liked the name of their restaurant, but unfortunately did not read the reviews. I ordered a mid-afternoon combo General Tso meal that had very small pieces of chicken, the smallest I've seen ordering this dish from all over the country. There was hardly any sauce and a bit dry. The quality of the chicken seemed to be left over like. The rice tasted like the bottom of the pot (literally). Ironically, the cheese rangoons were the best and cooked perfectly. About an hour after eating, my stomach did not feel good. I pretty much like all foods, but I most likely will not order from here again. Mediocre food. Only tried it one time and have no desire to try again. The lo main was mushy (VERY overcooked), and didn't have much besides the noodles, few small shrimp. The fried wontons were also overcooked and didn't come with any sauce or anything. I'm not impressed, and there are better options for Chinese food in the area (all of them). It is now over two months since my only order there, and I'm getting spam texts that I did not consent to. I don't want 50% off delivery fees because I don't have food delivered and don't want their food. My three star rating...
