Both as a customer and a former employee, the service here can vary due to who is either A. Running the shift or B. Working. There are some great employees there however the majority of the employees are the ones working up-front. Working as an employee I share one story: I was at a computer with the menu pulled up ready to punch in the order, one of the managers were taking their order and I was simply listening in on my head set taking down everything they had asked for. The customer could not find a particular item they had seen on an advertisement so they had asked for the price and the manager only replied with, "It's on the menu". Customer replies with: "I can't find it here on the menu, would you mind telling me the price?" manager replies with in a rather harsh and loud stern tone: "SIR, just look on the menu". I realized nothing good was going to come from this and so I punched the item they asked for, turned on my mic and stated: "Hello sir, the is " as I can't remember. They thanked me and I finished their order as the manager comes around not talking to me but in fact talking at me and saying: "Hey, I got this! I don't need your help in dealing with a customer". As they tried to make me look like a bad guy my only choice was to reply with, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you by assisting you with the customer and letting them know how much the item cost". Of course they say how they aren't offended though the fact of the matter is they did not want to go above and beyond for the customer and helping them with what they asked and this was pretty much every shift when a customer could not find something on the menu. Again, this is not all managers but the same issue does occur more than once. To answer your questions as of why they pull you up even if there is nobody else in front of you or if they serve another customer first who was behind you. To answer the first question, they pull you up because it makes them look better. How? They have a computer that tells them how long you have been sitting there for and if it's 3-5+ minutes then that means that they are not moving fast enough and that's what they call their drive-through time. To answer the second question, with all due respect your order is not going to be immediately ready as soon as you pull to the drive through because this isn't a perfect world. If they have a burger ready and you just want fries and they have no fries ready then they will pull you up and give the other person the burger if all they want is a burger. Sometimes customers just order a drink and those take less than 1-2 minutes to make so you can't complain about being served first you have to give them the benefit of the doubt especially if you order 3 fries, a large coke and 2 burgers and one person behind you orders a coke. "Why did they get served first? I was here before them!" because Karen, they had a smaller order that could be ready in less than a few minutes versus your order than takes 5+ minutes. Now, I will point out that everyone makes mistakes and a customer might have forgotten your order and that is when you can start...
Read moreI was at hardees about 11:30 for lunch. I went through the drive through and asked for a #12 just the sandwich and a large water. He says okay that will be 7 something at the next window. As I pulled forward I decided I wanted to make it a meal instead for a few dollars more. The guy with the gold front teeth comes up and says, “we cant do that once you ask for one thing. We don’t change order.” I replied. “oh I’m not changing it really, i’m just making it a meal instead is all.” Then he said angrily, no, ill do it but we don’t do that once they been past the ordering part.” I replied “oh okay… i’m sorry… I can re-enter the drive though if i need to.” He said no and I said “okay…. Also lastly may I get a tea on top of that water with my drink for my meal since I have to pay for a drink with it anyways? He replied aggressively “okay your doing too much. Your doing way too much”. I asked “oh.. because I wanted a tea and to make it a meal?’ He said “pull forward” and I said” oh.. “I haven’t paid yet” and he said more aggressively “I said pull forward”. I said “oh okay”….as I pulled forward. After 5 mins of waiting for my food, he storms out saying “you haven’t paid for your food.” I said “I tried telling you that. I only did what you asked me to do. You told me to pull forward.” He then interrupted me and said “No idc ur not getting your food if you don’t pay. and I said. “You told me to pull forward. This shouldn’t be this hard. Im just gonna leave bc your being rude.” and he replied aggressively, “okay see ya. bye. don’t come back.” in a very rude and sassy way. I ended up just driving away without anything beacuse I no longer wanted to deal with it, nor give them my money. I was appalled at his behavior. I don’t understand why this guy had such a rude behavior towards me when I was kind, apologized, and honestly didn’t even ask for a difficult request. I am very disappointed in the unprofessionalism and ill mannered staff that I dealt with. Not only did they lose money from me, They lost me from ever going to Hardee’s again. Who’s to say they aren’t hiring other disrespectful people such as that guy at other locations. It was a waste of my time since I was on a lunch break from work. I could have went elsewhere and probably been fine. I don’t have time for this so I won’t be coming back and I will warn other people from coming to this...
Read moreExpensive but delicious fast food, this location must have been having a REALLY bad day when I came through. Employees cussing which I could care less about but it was clear they were in over their heads and it wasn't terribly busy. I think what happened was they hired a bunch of dudes that really didn't care and the one guy who I saw trying to hold it down was having a really bad time dealing with these guys.
I won't name the poor fella who took my order but I couldn't help but laugh. I gave him a completely legible coupon for a sandwich at a discounted price and he read it then asked me if it was for something completely different, I told him what it was on the off chance he forgot his glasses and he stares at me again before asking the guy behind him. He spoke perfect English I almost thought he was messing with me.
Still humored, I got my discounted sammich since I'm cheap and nodded politely at the guy behind me who was two (I think) orders behind me but got forgotten until someone after I ordered. Again, it wasn't that busy, just a few of us in line while I was there and a couple in the drive thru. I'm not a picky eater but I swear I did not do anything to rile their cooks up and I got a legitimate dollop like almost an ice cream scoop of mayo on my sandwich and I was on lunch. First and last time ever at...
