Update - A lot has changed since the pandemic and not for the positive. We used to visit at least once or twice a month because we loved the food, the prices, and our favorite waitress, Bri. Now days we seem to hit and miss when Bri is working. God forbid she got married and had a beautiful baby boy, haha. However, the service is always excellent anyway. The food, however, no longer is. The prices have skyrocketed and the portions have decreased dramatically! Apparently they have a different vendor because nothing tastes the same either.
My boyfriend ordered the open faced roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. The roast beef was 2 very thin slices of COLD deli meat on top of 2 pieces of Texas Toast with about 2 tablespoons of cold brown gravy on top. The cold mashed potatoes were about 3 Tablespoons with 1/2 Tablespoons of brown gravy. The green beans were plain out of a can but at least they were hot. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. My plate was the same as his. We both sent our plates back to be reheated and asked for more gravy. Although they were happy to accommodate us, they also charged us an extra 80 cents each for a small drizzle of gravy on each plate! Not even a small bowl like most places do. Hmm? Originally, we wanted to visit Mattinglys this evening for their wing's and Southwest Egg Rolls. Much to our surprise they no longer have the Southwest Egg Rolls. HUGE disappointment! And the wing's have gone up so much in price (considering how small they are) it's not worth it anymore! This is the second time in the last 6 weeks that this has happened to us. I didn't report it the last time since I thought it was just a fluke. But here we are again...

Read moreIf I could give this a zero, I would. We went in to grab dinner and it took almost 50 minutes to come out. When I said something to our waitress ( I believe her name was Jackie), snapped back at me, "I told you when you ordered, there was a 20 top ahead of you!". I understand there was a 20 top, but when it takes 50 minutes for food and then it comes out COLD and other people who came in us afterwards are already getting their food, I have an issue with that. I had to get somewhere, so upon my food being delivered, I immediately asked for my check. When she brought back my change, I said, "you know, I am not leaving you a tip because you had the power to do, at a very little, something on this bill (not that I wanted my entire meal for free, but even if she took the cold food off, that would of been a nice jesture). She then snapped at me, "If you wouldn't of been so rude, I would of done something (mind you this is AFTER she brought my change, so obviously she didn't plan on doing anything)!". Hmmmm. well, considering my food took 50 minutes to come out, it was cold and then the waitress (aka owner) screamed at me, I had a right to be rude and tell you, there was no tip coming your way. Somehow the ordering address went from Ronald Reagan drive lake Saint Louis to Saint Charles. $107 later when I went to pick it up on time, I was at the wrong location. There wasnt any talking to the manager. I had to reorder at the correct location and spend another $107. Supposedly the app asjs 3 times if it's the right location. Well it didn't. Bad luck is just bad luck and your money is just that. Your money. Shame on me. Shame on you for not caring enough to ask questions. Like..... Oh u really just got back in town from helping your dad with stage 4 cancer, no wonder you may not have seen the pickup address change during your order.
