This place is awesome. Came here after a little league tournament on mother's day. They sat 6 of us with next to no wait time. immediately brought us all chips and salsa while we waited. right when we sat down the dinner rush came in and the place was packed. the waitress took our order and didn't forget a single thing. she thought we had been waiting to long for our food to come out so she gave the whole table free queso. the fajita burritos are tje best Mexican burritos I ever had. the tamal is the best tamal I've ever had and pretty big. on one of our meals the waitress noticed they added onions when inasled for none. I told her it's fine but she insisted fixing it for us . the atmosphere needs a little work as far as people knowing the place exists. we drove right past it becasue the wind messed the new sign up and its tucked back off the road. this seems like a family run restaurant and I love it. the best part was the owners little boy brought all the mothers roses to the table. this place is a place my family will be going to as often as possible. it's rare for me to write a review but it was sooooo good. I've been all-over the country and eaten alot of Mexican food and this is my tops. also try the endless refills of...

Very happy there's finally a Mexican restaurant in close proximity to where we live! Their food is reminiscent of Grand Azteca on Grosebeck in Fraser before it went downhill. They have a large menu, plenty of options to choose from. It's a fairly small building, but we didn't have to wait to be seated at 5:30 on a Monday night. If I had a negative comment to make, it'd be their salsa they bring to the table was lacking in a good salsa flavor & their chips I'm pretty sure weren't house made & were equivalent to what you'd buy at any grocery store flavorwise. My meal was fantastic & it was the same thing I used to order at Grand Azteca, the Burrito Perez. It was loaded with chorizo & about six large sized shrimp on the top with a yummy white cheese sauce. Inside was tender steak, the chicken was tasty & so was the rice (I omitted the beans). I also ordered a side of grilled onions, which were flavorful. Hubby got their nachos with ground taco flavored beef, which he said was very salty to him. The establishment was very clean & our server as well as the rest of the employees were very friendly & attentive. Highly recommend trying this place out, because you...

Italian marinara sauce on burritos, filled with meat that tastes like chemicals is an embarrassing way to represent the great nation of Mexico. Fire your cook and hire someone who knows how to make good food.

Edit to respond to owner You comped the 3 tacos my husband got, that were supposed to be hard tacos, but came out on soft corn shells. The meat had no seasoning at all and the only flavor was from the onion and parsley that was suppossed to be cilantro. The $3 per taco is crazy to be so bad. To get tomatoes, sour cream and shredded cheese would put those tacos at over $6 per taco. The prices were insane, especially to get such bad food. My child tried one of the 2 tacos my husband brought home, and she said they are "A crime against humanity."

With well over 30 years in the industry, I URGE YOU to get a new cook, and make sure they can actually produce quality recipes. You will be out of business with this food and price combination...

I just recently went back here after Los Pingüinos opened, and I am astounded by the progress this small restaurant has made. First off the bat, we had to wait a while to be seated, but not too long. They definitely are short staffed. After ordering the Hueveros a la Mexicana and the Tres Leches, they seemed to be out of orange juice, again, a surprise for a Sunday morning. The food was pleasant, but it can be overpowering if not tamed by another flavor. Our waitress was pleasant, and the overall price was cheap. Good for a family. We will be coming back for breakfasts, I just wish there were more breakfast menu items.
