I WILL NOT VISIT. I wish I could rate them a 0 star for the service… let me explain: we booked a cruise from St Thomas to St John and had this restaurant as a recommendation of the cruise. Great, first timers + recommendation from concierge = booked. However, getting to the island, no taxi would take us. What’s logical? Call. Surely they’d understand. NO! The desk/manager/whoever was beyond rude. Did not believe a taxi would not take me until he heard himself. He then only would list my table but would not guarantee a refund. Mind you, this was booked yesterday by a concierge. I asked if I could pay a cancellation fee. He rudely rejected. Can I pay half and get a half refund? No, with attitude. I remind him this was the night before booked and just seeking kindness, as non-locals and victims of a miscommunication…chewed me out, and said it was my problem. Forget eating here. A place with no empathy and that values dollars over long term relationship is a place worth avoiding. I did not visit and will not. I cannot disagree with their mindset. Review my reviews, I’m always honest and always fair and this place ain’t “it”.

UPDATE: I do agree that I never ate here which I why I was clear I didn’t. I stated, I will not after my interaction with the service team on the other end of the phone which is a fair stance. I called at 6:18 (not 6:22) after over 10 minutes of being rejected by taxis to which the dude also tried and failed; it was not like I changed my mind, I physically could not get there. I called when I did because we docked just after 6. And as mentioned in my post, I’m not speaking to food quality, purely human empathy because who hasn’t had issues visiting a restaurant/event/etc in a foreign place that was booked by someone else. I did leave a bad review for the service I received on the call as the guy had an aggressive demeanor and very insulting as well. Did I leave it because of not getting refunded? No, because of how rude he was about it. His attitude was poor at best. Booking was roughly 27 hours before, by a third party when I was assured that it was at the dock we were landing at. Am I going to take it up with the concierge? Of course, as I was assured it was convenient for the trip. But was the guy at this restaurant rude on the other end of the phone and cause me to feel uncomfortable even if I could have gotten a ride (which after over 10 minutes I couldn’t)? Oh absolutely. To say I shouldn’t be able to review is crazy because I paid over $300 for a cancellation fee 27 hours after booking and had a negative experience with the...

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. If you are under 60 years old you are NOT welcome here. We came here to celebrate 2 friends 30th birthdays. Started with pictures on the dock. We asked to another couple to take a photo of us. They said no. We laughed. Ok maybe we got unlucky. We headed into the restaurant and got our reservation. We are a group of 10 and they split us up - no worries. We understand things happen. But that’s when things got weird. We were told to be quiet by the manager and when it happened another table clapped. KEEP IN MIND - our reservation was at 5:45pm, the restaurant is OPEN AIR and we would have happily been quieter if another patron of the restaurant had asked us respectfully and directly. It was HUMILIATING to be shushed in that manner. That being said, after we were told to be quiet by the manager we were. After we paid for our meal (over $2.5k total for 10 people) we went to the bar downstairs. A few of us went to the shop in the restaurant and spent a few hundred dollars. Upon our return the manager approached our friend group and told us we needed to apologize to the group upstairs or else we would be kicked out. He threatened us HE SAID IF WE DIDNT LEAVE OR APOLOGIZE HE WOULD CALL PARK RANGERS WITH GUNS ON US. We were shocked. We’re we loud at dinner? Maybe. Would we have quieted our conversation if someone had respectfully asked? YES!!!! We ARE NOT CRIMINALS. We are a group of young professionals - a few working in finance, a nurse, a physicians assist, a dentist, a teacher, and a lawyer. We were told we needed to leave immediately or apologize to the other party we disrupted. We’re celebrating, and apologizing seemed appropriate (although very weird that the manager even wanted us to do this). One of our friends went up to do this. The group of 4 older people (over 60) were smug and angry. They didn’t want an apology and wanted a fight. After some degrading words our friends got defensive. We were still unclear about what we did wrong. It escalated. Threats were made. Our dollar was CLEARLY not valued the same as that of the other guests who were much older. The manager was the one who escalated the situation instead of simply honoring guests on both sides of the disagreement. MORAL OF THE STORY - if you are under 50 years old and looking for fun on St. John’s this is NOT IT. spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Otherwise you might be...

Profusely underwhelming other than the views everything was subpar and I'm sorry to say.... To get here it's more than a trek. It's an experience because you have to cover it or drive it into a parking spot and they take you and by car service over to the restaurant is adjacent to an abandoned resort that was never rebuilt after a hurricane kind of a spooky vibe. It's pretty cool if you're early, which we were, they ask you to sit you can sit at the beach with their lunch waiting area where there is a very nice gift shop, which employee was very unattended so I walked out. The host was very attentive and did ask us if we wanted a drink which we did their Grey Goose so martini was OK. Their olives were amazing. Martini was OK. I better have refreshing non-alcoholic drink was delicious as we waited to be seated and brought upstairs we did partake in the beautiful views totally amazing and maybe what the restaurant banks on the four course tasting menu we were grateful we didn't do the wine pairing, cause my wine was not impressive as wasn't my cocktail my Sauvignon Blanc from France lackluster and for a place that's about $400 to eat without wine pairing. I would expect the staff to be amazing. They were OK they were proficient. They weren't unkind but they were just OK. Everything I had was almost too salty and the papa pasta was not al dente was borderline hard. I'm sorry I come from New York and impressing is hard, but I'm willing to work with OK and delicious for the price point. I could've had four meals on the island which I would've found amazing and which I have and given an extra waiting to this was just not on par. I say save your money go local eat everywhere else. It's just not worth it to come here unless you want the experience of the view and to say you've been here I'm sorry that I had to leave...

We stayed in St Johns for a week and this was the worst meal and drinks we had during our visit. We couldn't finish the cocktails. We had to switch to wine just to have something to drink, although we are not normally wine drinkers. We would've left at this point but you are stuck due to prepaying. Now I understand why this restaurant makes you prepay. The add on meatball was probably the best food item at zozos. This is just a typical meatball. Most of the food was disappointing. The price, $500+ for 2, was not only unjustified, I wouldn't repeat the experience if it was $50. The only thing worthwhile here was the view. Every other restaurant we tried on the island had better food and drinks. Do yourself a favor and don't torture yourself here. Just skip it. * Yes zozos, your restaurant is not a good fit because the food is bad. You want to make fun of my nickname which is an inside joke with my daughter, but you seem to have no respect or concern with disappointing your customers. Your food is as bad as your replies. My money was good and now you could care less that I had a bad experience. After tasting your food, I'm not surprised by your attitude.

The most memorable meal during our trip to USVI. ❤️ We opted for bar seats at 5:30pm (limited so book in advance) since we can do a la carte. It’s a whole experience - first you arrive at the gate, where a taxi type car will pick up dinner guests and drive to the restaurant. The restaurant is fancy looking and next to the water. The view is gorgeous! There is a pier you can walk to take some photos and beach chairs you can relax at during your meal. There’s also a cute boutique shop behind where we got some gifts (pick up some Zozo’s rum!!) Food & drinks were excellent!! Everything was delicious. We ordered pappardelle as appetizer, chef’s special (truffle pasta, Caribbean lobster), mahi mahi and two desserts. Everything tasted good - my favorite was pappardelle, my boyfriend’s favorite was mahi mahi. Bill ended up being almost $400 for two of us. If you are looking to save a bit of money, I would skip dessert. They are decent but the food is where it’s at. Service is excellent! Our bar server is so sweet and all the drinks she makes are just so good! Overall a very memorable night! Would come back again. Say hi to KC for us if you see her.

I'm at a bit of a crossroads here. Let's breakout the pros vs cons. Pro's: - Incredible views of neighboring islands and plenty of sky to take in dramatic sunsets. - Nice ambience and vibe here, you can tell they care about their appearance - Food ranging from superb to good Con's: - It's expensive. Two drinks each and fixed price menu now at $130/head brought us to about $415 final bill with tip included. I've spent more on meals in the past and the food really does hit well, but to put yourself in that upper echelon everything really must be extraordinary. - Pacing of delivering courses could use a bit of an uptick. I found myself going from ravenous to full only after a couple of dishes as it took awhile to get each plate in front of us. Overall, ZoZo's is worth a visit for the view alone. As others have mentioned, bar seating might be the way to go so you're not beholden to the fixed price and can come early to enjoy the sunset on their wide open terrace.
