This was our first time visiting Crazy Sushi. We were in the area and they seemed interesting. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door stating cash only due to internet issues, so its hard to know if the crow that we experienced is the norm. That said, it was still surprisingly busy with only a few empty tables. The atmosphere is very nice. Dim, yet not so dim that you're squinting to see. It's a nice place for a date. The decorations were all very nice and reserved. The service was excellent. The few people we dealt with were exceedingly accommodating. It was also reassuring to hear the staff communicating in Japanese amongst themselves. We ordered one of the sushi boats due to it being one of their unique offerings and it was all excellent. The fish itself stood out for its great flavor. It's not something I get a chance to enjoy often when visiting sushi places. I definitely plan on returning.

Consistency, consistency, consistency. Each plate is delivered with a consistency and eye for detail thats impossible to comprehend unless you visit often and always. Something as simple as edamame? Always steamed perfect and never the wrong consistency. The grilled squid is simply beautiful. The sashimi is perfect in every way, including temperature. Its the same faces creating each meal year after year and it shows in every way. How about a quick lunch for under $20? Or knock yourself out and grab a boat and let them fill it up. Ive never been disappointed but honestly, it took me a few trips to appreciate all the consistency. Low key, consistent and delicious every time.

First time trying this place. Had heard good things and it's close so we gave it a shot and ordered carry out. Food was ready quickly and was about the price of other sushi places. When I got home with the food I was immediately disappointed. I opened the $19 beef teriyaki and it was a sliced up piece of steak and the smallest, most pathetic 2 piles of "grilled vegetables" I've ever seen put in a take out container (see picture). The salad was literally only shredded lettuce. The only redeemable part was the the miso. The 3 sushi rolls we got were average to below average even for midwest sushi. Definitely will go elsewhere next time.

This was my first time getting food from Crazy Sushi. The reviews are solid, so since my regular place closed permanently, I decided to try this place. I ordered the Rainbow Roll, 6 pieces of Nigiri sushi, and a miso soup. Overall it was fine. It tasted fresh. The pieces of fish on the roll were very small. I would have given it 4 stars (lost one for the small pieces on the roll) if not for the following:

I have two complaints. The first: the description of the Rainbow roll indicates it is crab and cucumber inside with a variety of fish outside. It said nothing about avocado. It not only had sliced avocado on top, but also inside the roll. So when I got home and discovered this, it meant not only removing the slices off the top (leaving one piece of roll with nothing on the outside), but also had to break open each piece of roll to remove the avocado from inside. If the menu had described it as including avocado - as it does for several other rolls - I would have ordered it "without avocado" to avoid this issue. Though, given my second complaint, I'm not certain this would have worked out.

My second complaint was that I specifically said out loud, and wrote on the sushi order (and the woman who took my order repeated it out loud) "no wasabi". Each piece of nigiri sushi had wasabi on it, requiring me to remove some the rice from each of the 6 pieces before eating.

I will say, I was pleasantly surprised that they had Ponzu sauce when I asked for some - the other place I used to go did not keep any on hand. I will likely try this place again and I will be more specific in ordering now that I know the menu is not fully accurate. I will also be sure to physically check my order before leaving the restaurant to ensure those requests for leaving off the things I can't eat is...

I have been going to Crazy Sushi for 7 or 8 years now and it has always been amazing. Best Sushi in the area by far. Service and prices have been outstanding as well. My wife and I even come here for our anniversaries and special occasions. Until last week.

Last week we went to Crazy Sushi as normal and ordered just as we always do. There were maybe 4 other tables with couples or at most 4 people. My Sushi came out quickly which to me wasn't an issue...pretty good I thought until my wife's meal did not come out. Now, when my Sushi came out the place was packed. I had never seen it so full but again this was 20 or 30 minutes after we had arrived.

We asked about my wife's meal and were told it was coming. 10 minutes later we asked a different server and again were told it was on its way. On the third time we were told the kitchen had piled tickets on top of hers and didnt see it so they threw it away with all the others. 45 minutes to an hour there and after the rest of us had already eaten before her meal even came out.

I was sure they would comp her meal or at least do something for us considering we are in there so often but all they said was sorry, its very busy. Her meal was only $16 so it isnt about the money. I still tipped which I probably should not have but again we really like this place. This time though it put us off and kinda upset us.

We will go back because it is our favorite but it will be a long while...

Went there with the family last weekend. Last time I visited this restaurant was more than 2 years ago, wife wanted to go Oishi Sushi in Chesterfield, and I convinced her to try Crazy Sushi since she had it before, big mistake!!!. and she make sure I knew that after we came out of the restaurant, it showed on her face, so I know we will never go back again. There were about 3-4 tables with customers when we walked in around 7 in the evening, I expected to see more, especially on weekend, and I read all the good reviews online . Customer services was ok, we order 5 rolls of sushi, most of them are ok, but the spider roll was horrible, the soft crab in there tasted old, fried 2 days ago and in bad oil. We had order chicken stir fried udon noodle, pork teriyaki, and Chirashi, every dish, I mean everyone of them, the meat and fish were way OVERCOOKED, tasted like rubber, I guess they were cook way ahead of time and heated them up and serve them, that is the biggest complain I got, it was way different than what I had tried before, I guess they change owners, anyway, hope you will find this review useful, and I hope the owner reads it too, so they can make changes, but they won't...
