Female bartender was the rudest staff member I have ever met in my life, whoever was working sunday night 9/21/25. I have also been working hospitality for years and would never treat customers the way we were treated. Started off okay, with a male bartender, he was super friendly. We both ordered our food.. 20 minutes go by, the female bartender brings out just my boyfriends meal and tells me that they don’t have what I ordered and “what else did i want” Alls I said was “i won’t get anything else then thank you”. The other bartender chimed in and said “we do have other salads you may like” and before I could even reply, the female bartender starts laughing in my face and goes “it’s not the food it’s her principal” like what?? It wasn’t the principal, i just couldn’t find much on the menu I enjoyed for food (i am a super picky eater) Not only was it super strange to not mention you don’t have my food until you bring the entire tables meals out, but then to be mad at the guest for not wanting anything in addition. Then she walks away… a few minutes go by and she comes back up & goes “want a second plate then” i said “no thank you” she LAUGHS AGAIN IN MY FACE?! And shakes her head. She made me and my boyfriend so uncomfortable and was so blatantly rude, unprovoked for zero reason. She completely ruined our experience here as we have enjoyed coming here for awhile, well we will never be back. Had nothing to do with them not even having my order, i didn’t even care lol. Cared about her unprovoked attitude towards guests who were nothing but nice to her, she was so bothered I didn’t want to order anything more for...

The location of sky beach has been a “southside gem” for many years due to the waterfront beauty and local vibes. Everyone in our pinellas point neighborhood enjoyed taking our kids there over a week ago where the waitress was coming out to the beach and serving us while our kids played in the water/ on the shoreline. Yesterday when we tried to attend the kingfish tournament, we were approached by 3 security guards who kindly told us we were not allowed to stand on the beach because we didn’t buy a resort pass. There are NO beach bars in our area that don’t allow you to step foot on the beach except for this one. We weren’t using their chairs or anything… just standing on the beach so we could enjoy some food and drinks purchased at sky bar and watch our kids who were having fun in the water. Instead, they told us we could sit in the chairs in front of the stage which was nice for us adults but our kids left extremely sandy as they weren’t allowed access to Tampa bay and they were playing in the sand by the stage and running around where all the adults were relaxing. It’s truly a shame that patrons at a beach bar aren’t allowed access to the beach without spending $60 per person on a resort pass. I hope this new rule is reconsidered to allow for a more welcoming vibe that attracts the local people who have enjoyed this spot for many many years before it...

I’d heard about this place and we decided to check it out. There were two men seated when we arrived. Two thirty + year olds, a quiet baby and me( grandma70. We were not greeted or acknowledged by anyone. There appeared to be one bartender but with 5 people, no problem. We used the QR code on our table and ordered 3 drinks and 2 nibbles. 15 minutes later a group arrived and sat at the bar and had drinks poured immediately. We were sitting in plain view of the bartender and a man who later was obviously some type of employee. He had walked past us numerous times but never said a word. We finally went up to the bar and were told by a very uninterested bartender that we were to order our drinks from him and the food from the app. Nice to know! He acted very perturbed and offered no help. The place has TOTAL POTENTIAL! The spaces are cool, the vibe is awesome and I want this place to work because we need all the fun spots we can get! You need HOSPITALITY BADLY! You need to acknowledge customers! You need to be KIND AND HELPFUL. You need to make it FUN! We hopefully hit a bad day but there should NEVER BE A BAD DAY AT THE BEACH! We boat a lot with our guests and we are starved for cool places to come by water. We will try again and hope someone gets a clue about what brings people back. Great drinks, decent...

What a disappointment after waiting so long for the SkyBar to open and bring friends. I used to work there when it was the Nepa Hut. Back then the people were friendly and happy to be working there. Always engaging with the customers and so welcoming. We were happy to see the smiling faces of our customers. Sadly that was not the experience today. I could understand if it was busy, but it wasn’t busy at 4:45pm on Tues. I stood at the bar for several minutes, trying to get a menu, the most I got was a sideways glance without a smile or a hello. For a new place you would think you would have people that would be excited to work there and be friendly and courteous enough to say hello. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. We were so disappointed we left without being spoken to. Quite honestly, it didn’t even deserve one star. It really is a shame. We’re all locals and wanted to find a new place where we could bring our friends, hang out and enjoy the beauty of the hotel and its surroundings. I guess we need to keep looking. Perhaps you need to find someone who is happy and can spare a smile and an hello. No recommendations from us to the SkyBar.

Our first visit to the new Skybar inside the SkyBeach Hotel. The resort-style hotel features a nice beach area, pools, and docks. The bar itself is an elevated tiki bar with excellent bartenders. The docks are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with plenty of space. They also offer several mooring balls for larger vessels. I spoke with a guest who mentioned that the rooms were just okay, so I’ll leave that open to interpretation. My only concern was the pricing. My wife had a couple of house wines, and I had two modestly priced tequilas on the rocks with a splash of water, and our bill came to $67.00. We didn’t eat there, but the food menu also seemed quite expensive. They only have a food truck servicing the bar. It seems they are trying to match the prices of high-end Gulf Beach resorts. The staff mentioned that for $50.00, you can get access to the beach and pools along with a $40.00 drink credit. We will most likely give it another try.

To be honest, I looked this place up on google and when I got there it wasn’t quite what I expected and there were very few people here. I didn’t realize it was a part of a resort and actually very easy to miss driving by. They allowed us to park for free when we told them we wanted to dine. We were told the kitchen is away from the “bar” and the restaurant wasn’t done which initially was confusing. We went for lunch and they had a very small menu so all of this made me think we made the wrong decision. Well…the views were impeccable, the service was incredible and the food was soooooo good. Lucky for us we were told the kitchen ran out of propane after they made ours and would to have had to wait longer - but overall really happy with our experience. We talked about looking into this place if we ever came back and needed a place to stay. Ps the house chips are so good!
