Morae has more or less great food, but what is lacking to me is the setting. Yeah, the place is spacious and has good lighting, but it was also empty and gave me this feeling of isolation. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but it just felt a little alienating and pitiful in terms of its environment. The customer service does its job, nothing too spectacular.
Food is pretty good. Soup was hot and rich in flavor, fried calamari was crunchy and pairs well with its tartare sauce, bruschetta was pretty filling for an appetizer, french fries were really good and seasoned well, and the spaghetti tasted light and creamy. The sweet chili chicken was not bad, but I’m sure other restaurants can pull off a similar dish better. Lastly, the dessert was delectable. Crunchy toast along with the ice cream was pretty divine.
Overall, with a decent price on the dishes and a fairly expansive menu, Morae offers a pretty decent dining experience. I enjoyed the Mushroom soup and Ribs. Kids like their golden crispy chicken and Salad. It was a delightful evening with my family. Great service. The waitresses shared their lunchtime buffet information. We will visit again and look forward to trying the buffet....
