Chubby's Pizza Shack — Restaurant in Salem Lakes

I've driven past this pizza place ever since I moved to Antioch Illinois in 2018. I always said "We need to try this place, it's always the little places that are the best". Well.....I was right about Chubby's! I finally tried it last Friday evening and it was AWESOME! I got there to pick it up and the ladies working said it was in the oven and they could bring it out to my car when it's ready. A few minutes later a guy brought it out, it turned out to be the owner. He was a really nice guy who is committed to making sure that you, the customer, is happy. The pizza itself was cooked perfectly and tasted great! The crust is perfect, thin and crispy, just the way I like it as someone who grew up in Chicago and knows how tavern style pizza should be! Needless to say, We'll be going back SOON as it's now my favorite local pizza place, which says a lot because there are some great pizza...

We stopped in to get a pizza and didn't realize it was take out only (whoops)!!! We went in and ordered our pizza. It smelled SO GOOD inside and the people working there were VERY polite!

We ran some errands and returned to pick up our food!

On my pizza, I got: Cheese, Sausage, Caramelized Onions, Garlic and Tomato. My girlfriend got a 1/2 Hawaiian, 1/2 Pepperoni.

We went back after running errands and the guy ran out our pizzas in the POURING RAIN! I really like pizza and this place is Super good! ...

Chubby's has great pizza no matter what kind you try. Have tried several and have never been disappointed. They also have the best, fresh-out-of-the-oven snickerdoodle & chocolate chip cookies and their cheesy garlic bread is the bomb.
