Drafts Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Salem Township

This is an update of a previous 5 star review. We are locals, live about 2 miles from here. This was our local 'grab a beer and dinner spot'. No longer. We came here on a Friday night around 5:30. We saw a ton of open tables but were told there is a 30 minute wait. No problem. Got a beer at the bar and inquired 30 minutes later, 'how long is the wait?'. We were told that they had stopped seating because the kitchen was backed up and the manager told them to do so. (What restaurant does not sit open tables. Just let the people know the food wait is an hour and let them decide.) Well, can we take one of these open tables and just have drinks for now and place a food order when the kitchen is ready? No. 20 minutes later same question, except now a server is at the hostess stand. One that has served us many times. I said this is ridiculous, there are so many open tables, we don't mind just ordering drinks. (And trust me I was very calm and respectful about it. There was a woman that came in after us, made a scene and got a table). We are locals and are here at least every other week and just want to sit down and have a drink. She mutters under her breadth, well I'm here every day and walks away. We had a pretty crummy experience here. Our waitress was so incredibly rude. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 kids. We ordered the kids food first. She then took 2 of the adults orders, as I wasnt ready to place mine yet. She came back 10 min later and my husband and I ordered. The kids meals and the first 2 adult meals came out about 15 min later. She then proceeded to come back to our table 2 other times after and asked if we were ok and said nothing about our food. Finally after our entire party was done eating and the kids were expiring, I stood up to find her to check on if she even placed our food order since she never even said anything to us when she came back to the table, such as "your food should be out soon". When she brought the food extremely late, she didnt apologize and when I said "oh I wasnt sure if you put it in or not since you never said anything about it coming out soon" and it's been 30 min or so at that point--- she rolled her eyes at me and said "it's dinner rush". She could not be bothered and had such a rude face. She brought our appetizer with 4 of our party of 6's meals instead of before the meals. Recently my family and I decided to go out to eat and we went to Drafts. The place is very clean, the food was very good. My daugters liked their pasta and their double smash burger. My wife and I also loved our chicken dishes. I had the florentine and is was excellent, I only thought it came with WAY too much spinach, but the food was great. Our server was outstanding. It did seem a little short staffed but he was spot on with everything. The only issue I have, which is why the lower rating, is that the music was way WAY too loud. The musician was excellent. The volume was the issue. I could barely hear my daughters sitting across from me and right next to me and they had to repeat themselves multiple times to be heard. The server even stated that he was reading lips to take the orders. I know this is a bar and grill atmosphere but we were there at 6 o'clock on a thursday. I could understand completely if it was 8-9 o'clock but the loudness of the entertainment did cause issue and made a dinner out be less friendly that just staying home.
