This was my fourth time coming to dine here all other times where spectacular and delicious a few times with my mother and toddler and once with y fiancé. Well I’m sorry to say todays service and food was the worst service I’ve ever had at a taco spot. We got there around 4 not to many table I came by for the 1$ tacos and I ordered a plate Bistec A La Mexicana not sure what happen today. But all my food was burnt the asada steak texture was like I was chewing on a tire or rubber bands waaay to overcooked. I ordered 3 tacos of el pastor my mom ordered a couple tacos of tripa and I believe asada. I placed another order of the Loaded asada fries for my 2 year old he just got his vaccines and I know he loves French fries so we got that for him and we would dig in the rest. I felt the server older women had issues with us since we got there. She was really stand by ish and rude my mom asked her is she can get less ice and she argued that she didn’t put that much we didn’t say much and said ok since the food is always good here I thought maybe she’s just having a bad day so I didn’t say much. As soon as the food came I ate one taco and it was soo oily and burnt I couldn’t the other 2. The food plate I ordered I ate the meat and not the rest and the meat was rubbery like I mention before. Anyways we where so upset we didn’t even finish il post pictures of what we left behind basically the whole entire meal. I told her we where ready to go and I told her look I’m very sorry to complain but everything was burnt she said no it wasn’t I have pictures to proof. We drove from Monterey to come here because the food was always delicious but anyways I told her we didn’t even eat the fries can we get refunded she said no and she didn’t even offer to fix or find a solution for the error. She wasn’t nice at all maybe she was upset because we brought up we didn’t like the food long story short we where pretty much forced to pay up the 50$ of burnt food with massive oil! I told her ok but just letting you know we will never coming back she had a smile like obviously she didn’t give a F and me either because I don’t even want to come back or eat here ever again just so rude for not reason I had my baby with us we all Left still hungry and at loss of 50$ needless to say no tip sorry the customer service was terrible the food was burnt and there was no solution solved for our food service. I wish them well and forgive them for there bad attitude and horrible sevice and write this post for they can work and be better at there business in the beginning of the few times I really enjoyed it and recommended so many locals here in town but sadly it really breaks my spirit that I was treated in such a distasteful way that I just can’t even ever come back wish you well and hope you never treat others the way you treated me and my family especially my son who was very hungry in the end yes he was fussy he just had a vaccines done and I thought to treat him with a meal we never eat out but sadly after this experience I won’t for a good long...
Read moreThe experience here was horrible. I’ve been here so many times before and you could tell the service decline. The servers’ quality aren’t the best. They do what they can, but you can tell they’re struggling. Our food took over 45 minutes to get to us. My two little kids were so hungry, I had to take my infant into the bathroom to breastfeed her. After 40 minutes, we asked the servers if it would take longer to get our food. Five minutes later, they slowly began to bring out our food. My partner began trying to talk to the server and ask why it took so long. She said there was a lot of people and my partner pointed to the restaurant and said that there wasn’t any people there. Then she said she didn’t work in the back so she didn’t know. When we were gonna pay, we asked to speak to the manager and it turned out the owner came. We were relieved to know that the owner would talk to us. My partner let him know of our experience and how we’ve never had a to wait that long at other taquerias. The owner cut off my partner and said that it was a restaurant not a taqueria. Odd thing to correct hence maybe don’t name your restaurant TACOS ACAMBAROS. My partner corrected himself and then the owner began cutting my partner off more and said that the food was good and is made from scratch and they have online and a lot of people. We let him know we understand that but it felt like we were forgotten. No one checked on us or anything despite my infant screaming impatiently. The owner THEN BEGAN RAISING HIS VOICE at my partner. I was so shocked and confused. My kids were there. I cannot believe that we experienced this. I used to like this restaurant before I moved to San Jose with my family. I’d heard of rumors of this place and the owner but I never let my judgment dictate my decisions to eat there. I am so upset. My two kids were there. Read moreI can’t speak for the food as we didn’t get that far. But after not being acknowledged as we were waiting to be seated on a not busy day, we were finally seated and waited at least 20 minutes with no water, chips or word of someone helping us soon. My bf finally asked a chubby guy with glasses if we would be helped and he told u “I’ll get someone now. Or I can take your order. Or you can dip if you want.” Not only a lack of customer service but of respect. Will never be back and will never recommend this place to anyone I like. Please spend your hard earned money on places with good food (I hear this place is just ok) where you’re treated nicely, especially when you have your baby and toddler with you. I will say the decor had potential to be a nice place to be a regular at. Oh well.
