Hate to give this only 3 stars as we did have a great time! My wife and I attended the Mike Ryan concert on 3/3/2023. We had a great time! However there’s a few problems with this venue and the layout! To start, the dance floor! Yes they have one. But it’s full of people standing on in to get close to the stage. I really wish the staff would make and effort to clear the Dance floor for those of us that go to concerts and love dancing to country music! Unfortunately not many places ever enforce any think like this! Next I think general admission would be better all the way around. Because if you don’t pay the extra to have a seat at the table, then there’s nowhere else to sit if you need a break from standing for a minute! The bathrooms are way too small. I never walked past the women’s bathroom that it didn’t have a long line out the door. This venue is really too small for such a large event like Mike Ryan, which sold out! City Limits y’all might consider getting the old Midnight Rodeo building and y’all can have bring back the big concerts like this! If you sold out for Mike Ryan, just imagine what all you could have there! All the Texas country and bigger names! Like I said, we had a great time, and I encourage everybody to continue to go here and support them when they have big concerts. We need more concerts in this town so we can bring back dancing and good live music! Maybe if they keep having good crowds like this, they will go to a bigger building such as the one stated above!

We visited City Limits twice, and overall, the experience was okay, but not great. Our first visit on a Saturday was decent. The burger, cheese curds, and fried steak bits were tasty, though a bit salty. The service was on the slower side, but the food made up for it that day. However, our second visit on a Sunday evening wasn’t as positive. They were out of several menu items, including French fries, which was disappointing. I ordered two kids' meals, and since fries weren’t available, we chose other sides. To our surprise, we were charged extra for those substitutions. While the amount wasn’t significant, it felt unfair, given that fries weren’t even an option. The service was also much slower, and the food quality didn’t impress us enough to return. Our first visit was better, but unfortunately, the inconsistency makes it hard to recommend City Limits with enthusiasm.

Listen, y'all. I ain't mad about it, this place isn't an average bar food type place. My first time will lead to more! The waitress was a very nice young lady who didn't ignore us because we chose to sit away from everyone else and was more attentive than we've had in 6 months at some well known restaurants. The food was OFF THE CHAIN good. We can't wait to go again. The only drawback for some is that it is, indeed, a bar. Make no mistake, this is a well hidden gem in San Angelo!!

Coterie restaurant (or kitchen rather) inside City Limits Bar. This is not a separate entity from City Limits bar mind you. Its simply the kitchen entity within the bar that is named Coterie. The dishes that come out of here go way above what you would expect to be served at this place as a sports bar type place. Chef Ishma Parker is killing it with his dishes and southern-Cajun leaning cuisine. The cornmeal crusted catfish is meaty, tender, flaky fillet surrounded by a crusty and tasty cornmeal crust which I happen to love over any other fish breading out there. Nailed it on this one! The steak bits come in 8 and 12 ounce portions and I did 12. I only wish the steak bits could be blackened to make it better but also different than every other place in town does steak bits. They did hit a perfect medium well on my steak bits though. The French cut style green beans with diced bacon were a nice side dish to pair with their melty soft mashed garlic potatoes. My wife's chicken friend steak was big and bold with a delicious yellow gravy sauce served atop. The steak is a tender bottom round roast pounded very well as the steak was super tender inside the savory fried crust. The wings are decent here, pineapple-jalapeno was our pick. I prefer dry rub wings myself but hey. The watermelon salad is quite refreshing and pairs with any meal as a nice appetizer. Server Merissa is awesome as is server China, both professional and kind, accurate with orders and never leave you hanging. I only wish this place was in fact, separate and distinct from the sports bar to give it the vibe and caliber of dining experience the food and menu so deserve. I want to come back for a weekend brunch visit asap as that menu looks...

I have gone here 4 times so far and have had 1 good experience out of the 4. The first time was for lunch on a Saturday and they did not have any beef cut so we couldn’t eat anything that had beef which is a lot of the menu. I ended up with a pasta dish that was good. The 2nd time (the best) I ordered the Pickleback burger and it was absolutely fantastic! So for my Birthday I wanted to go back just so I could have that burger again. Well, it was a Sunday when we went back and didn’t realize it was only brunch but we stayed and I had a chimichirri steak dish, it had excellent flavor but was so fatty I probably only got a 1/4 of meat off of it and was not easy to cut. Then this evening was my 4th and possibly my last time. I ordered the Pickleback burger because I’ve been craving it and it just was not made properly. They put bacon & lettuce on it for whatever reason, maybe they forgot which burger they were making. I’m not a fan of bacon on my burgers and it wasn’t the easiest to pick off because it was in between the 2 meat patty’s and cheese and it was chopped up. Oh and there were gnats flying all over the place, it was disgusting. We were constantly swatting them away and had to put napkins over our drinks. My friend ordered some wings to go and said they tasted like old oil. I was rooting for this place but I think I’m done with the food at least. The beer is good and the staff is always nice. I usually don’t like to leave bad reviews, I prefer to leave good ones but since I’ve had several not great experiences I felt it was necessary. It’s just not been...
