Our first time here at Bayseas. We were greeted as soon as we walked, and so were all the customers after all. 👍🏻 I got the 3pcs fried cod with 3pcs shrimp & oysters. I upgraded one side to red beans & rice. Hubby got the catfish sandwich with fries. I got an extra cod, and the CF sandwich came with 3 pcs of catfish. I was like nice. We got fried mushrooms for the appetizer. Everything fried came out fast and very hot. Their coleslaw was very spot on. Red beans & rice seasoned just right. Fries were crunchy. Then dessert. Sweet potato pie. Not too sweet, just right. And the crust was pre-baked, not over baked where the crust was not burned and falling apart. Great lunch on a busy day. 😋

I’ve Been wanting catfish for awhile and it didn’t disappoint. The vibe was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful with the menu items. The food I had was nice and hot wasn’t dry. The catfish and oyster I had were a good size. Hot, juicy was more than I expected. I didn’t get to try the shrimp po-boy but my wife loved it. It had a good amount of shrimp on it. The gumbo was really good it does have a bit of heat to it. It’s as good as it looks had sausage, fish and shrimp rice and veggies. A small was good enough for me but if you don’t mind the spice get a medium. Good place to try out if your wanting catfish for sure.

Service was quick, food came out fast and portions were large. I ordered the 2 fish 2 shrimp lunch special, but what came out looked like 4 pieces of fish, & 2 shrimp on top of a mound of fries. The fish was decently thick, tender, moist and hot. The batter was thin and reminded me of chicken nuggets batter, but had good flavor. The tarter sauce was good and the fries were mostly crispy. Lunch special was $10. Its been years since I last atr at Bay Seas, when they had a location in Converse TX. I'd return here. Food was decent, portions for the price were good.

1st time coming to this hidden gem in the middle of San Antonio. The family running the restaurant are sweet, lovely folks, made me feel right at home. I ate the gumbo (sausage and chicken) - so delicious! A spicier option and I highly recommend it. Had the catfish and shrimp lunch plate with fries. Y'all; the batter is so light and crispy, some of the best catfish and shrimp I've ever had. I definitely will be coming back to try one of their many po'boys. They also offer oysters and other southern seafood favorites.

This place is great. Food is fresh, hot, delicious, and at a good price. They have the best sweet tea and the kool aid is perfect. They have about 5 different types of fish trout, drum, flounder, catfish, cod. I walked in and immediately felt like home the server was awesome this guy had me laughing my entire wait, I will definitely be back and if you’re reading this trying to decide I highly recommend this place. (In the picture is drum fish, shrimp, oysters and fries cost about $40).
