Super sub express — Restaurant in San Antonio

We found Pizza Beyond menu in our hotel room after a long day at Sea World. We were all hungry, especially two children. My wife called to place order for pizza & wings and we were told 45-50 minutes for delivery. We decided that would be OK, so she placed order. After 1 hour with no pizza, my wife called & was told that driver was a "few minutes away". When another 15 minutes passed, I called and was told same thing. After about 10 minutes longer with no pizza, I called and they did not pick up (went to voicemail). I tried again in about 5 minutes and they picked up but told me the same story, this time they said driver was delayed due to construction (how did it go from being "minutes away" to being delayed by construction?) and when I questioned her more, she hung up on me (TERRIBLE Customer Service). I went downstairs to meet driver and when he finally showed up, he said he was their only driver & had lots of deliveries. Pizza was OK, but having to wait almost 2 hours, after being told 50 minutes max, along with being hung up on is reason for this poor review. We are local to the area & decided to give this place a chance. We were apprehensive at first, but love to give new places a try so we dove in head first & went in for a sit-down dinner. The cook/front of house was welcoming & nice! He explained the menu and showed us what is already printed plus the extended menu. We decided to order the 14in pepperoni & cheese, an order of wings, a 14in supreme and 5 drinks. The wait time was almost nothing! We had our food in great time & it was mega hot and fresh. Sauce: The sauce is on the sweeter side. Definitely not a classic marinara, but still tasty!! Toppings: They're fresh! Veggies were cut in restaurant and definitely not frozen. The meat crumble probably is, but I mean - when sprinkled w/fresh toppings its really no big deal. Everything tasted GREAT! Crust: Ya'll - this crust was brushed with some garlic butter & parsley. GREAT little surprise to see on a crust especially since it isn't widely done. It was bomb!

We ordered 2 medium pizza's- the carne asada and the Hawaiian- and a small Ceaser Salad. We ordered online. We ordered around 9:30pm and it would be a 20-35 minute wait. (Not a big deal) Then seconds later received a message they were busy and it would be ready around 10:14-10:30. (Again not a big deal). The pizza was actually good and we enjoyed it. Only thing is, we did not get our ceaser salad, we got a house salad (I’m assuming). It had a ton of olives (I do not like olives) and tomatoes (I also don’t like tomatoes). Not a big deal, I took them all out and ate the lettuce with cheese and ranch. However, I paid $5 for a really small ceaser salad and ended up with a cheaper house salad. Our delivery driver was very nice tho, didn’t get his name but a huge shoutout to him!
