El Sabor de mi Tierra Restaurant — Restaurant in San Benito

8/08/23 update Like always this resturant gets pack, don't let the parking lot fool you, there's alot of tables. BUT the food tasted differently, the flavor spices wasn't there, and if you add the salt/pepper still not the same. Notices too many plates selection comes with enchiladas, as for me don't like it, yes you could ask to be remove and add something else but don't know if that's extra. Gave my enchiladas to my wife. But over all the cost $$ was fair for 3 people. Waitress was very patient with me and my daughter with autism adult. Thank you, come on your own risk, happy eating!

Place was pack this morning, but over the situation the busboy stepped in and attended us with great care, Thank You"David". Our wiatress took care of my family with excellent serves! Awesome! Taste was good👍, $$$ wise fair for 6 people. Oh there's alot to see because they have farm antiques. Oh one more thing there bubble gun machine with the rolling swirl tasted sweet - dry and hard becareful with your teeth. Thia place had good memories with my dad and my awesome family. Foods good staff well the boy guys are more forgetful to come to your table, the girls staff are more moving. Nice view inside the restaurant. Enjoy...

The waitress was as helpful as she could be. The food was sent back because it was a dry steak. We all know, no steak should ever be dry. We ordered the barbacoa and it was a good amount of food but I ordered a barbacoa taco and they slapped some beans on my plate and charged me a plate instead of a taco. Not a big deal since I wasn't paying lol but still not the point. I noticed is all I'm saying.

My mom showed someone the roach and nobody was appalled or moved in any way, shape, or form. The reply was "they just sprayed for bugs."

In my opinion, maybe next time take the time to wait a day or two after spraying for bugs, clean up the dead bugs, then resume with regular open hours. It just seemed a little careless and insensitive that the bug was just chilling under us and they knew he was there.

Bad service l ordered a plate that came with beans and rice, the rice was old, not cooked from the day, it was gooey and tasted burnt, l even got some burnt rice grains like it was scraped from the bottom of the burnt pot, waitress had bad attitude one of the teas had no lemon. She never came to see if we needed anything, l had to get up and go to the counter to tell her about the rice she offered more rice, lm like are you serious? I requested another item a gordita it supposed to be filled up with something to replace that ugly burnt rice, she was pissed and got me an empty gordita lm like this is useless with no filling thank you she replied in a sarcastic way "your welcome" I mean l gave her the chance to make it up to me she just screwed it, they ruined my meal. I left no tip and l am never coming back, on top of they served old ugly food and gave bad service they get...
