This was a very disappointing visit. Ordered a small and medium fry and the fries were overly greasy which was odd since that is not the norm for Del Taco. They usually have the best fries. I ordered a Del Burger. It was ok. I also ordered a snack size chocolate shake and there was so little chocolate that it actually looked like and tasted like vanilla. The two snack tacos that were ordered were ok, but a little lacking on the meet though there was a good amount of cheese.
Biggest issue was that my niece ordered a carne asada taco and we didn't realize until we were a good bit away from the location that they had given her something that looked like a quesadilla but had about four little pieces of meat and some salsa or something on it. Problem is she can't have gluten so she was unable to eat it.
Also, the girl working the window seemed confused and struggling a bit. She may have been new.
The other thing that I found sooooo annoying, and a lot of places are pulling this, is, "oh I don't have all your change, is that ok". My opinion is that if the place can't give you your full change then give you the overage. In this case it was three cents, but give a nickel back in the change rather than have the customers take the loss. A cashier was struggling to give a customer a refund, and asking the manager a thousand questions... but she wouldn't just take over for 5 seconds and handle the refund; that employee ended up getting so frustrated, he just left the customer there and went to a different position LOL. The manager finally issued the refund 5-10 minutes later, and the customer took a jab at her on the way out; not something I would do, but the customer was pretty annoyed by this point... which the manager then proceeded to make racist comments about white people, with me standing right there... At least have some situational awareness.
She finally handed me the order I was charged to pick up from there, and I, as I always do with restaurants who seal their bags, asked if there was a straw in the bag. She then projected that attitude on to me, because I hadn't noticed she put the straw in the second bag (99% of the time they are placed in the sealed bag or handed to me separately). She said, in an extremely belittling manner, "If you would look inside the bag, you will see that there is a straw." She could have just said "yes."

Once I notice my wallet missing I went back to ask if anyone had turned in a wallet. The kind employee I wish I remembered her name assisted me by asking Jovi as I pointed out she walked in right after I came out. Jovi said no she didn't see a wallet. The kind employee assisted me in providing me the managers contact as well as got my information in case anyo e turned it in Jovi wouldn't look at me at all I left and decided to make a u turn and returned to the restaurant and ask Jovi myself I was here in the morning you walked right in after I came out then proceeded to tell her I will have to make a police report immediately she asked me for my ID to proof the wallet was mine went to the back and gave me my wallet. Its the dishonesty of someone working for customer service.
