Burros & Fries Poway — Restaurant in San Diego

The food is good but the customer service is mediocre, you guys have one girl that works there I come to the drive through and she can barely take an order, I ordered a burro and just a drink with some lime on the side and couldn’t even remember the drink or lime so I had to repeat it one at a time over and over. Second thing that happened when I got to the drive through window she had asked if I wanted salsa to I replied yes please, she decided it was a good idea to slam shut the door and completely ignore my request. After she have the meal she said here you go and I asked if that was all and if there was lime in the bag. She then proceeded with gum in her mouth looked me up and down and widen her eyes and said yea. I’ve been going here ever since before it changed to burrow and fries. But the girl needs to get trained with serious attention to customer service. Awful awful awful customer service. Company needs to do better and take some hints with stores like canes or chick fil a. There’s a reason as to people go to those places and it because of how well they train their staff. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt at first but after those three interactions it was just sad. I normally like this place but after that I don’t think...

I walked in to get food to go, the cashier made me feel rushed ordering, I could barely get one item out before she was totaling my check. I had to tell her I was ordering few things. I do like they have a self serve salsa bar with carrots. Definitely the best part of the restaurant.

I ordered rolled tacos and a California burrito. It had to be the worst California burrito I have ever had. I thought we lived in San Diego with some of the best Mexican food around. Turns out it is NOT the case. The rolled tacos were good enough. Prices are high, but they are high everywhere. However, I later tried to order a small fountain soda. They were charging $4.50 for a small soda that was definitely less than 12 ounces of not even a brand name soda. Needless to say, I did not order a soda. Luckily there was an am/pm in the same parking lot where one soda was enough for three people for .86 cents.

Would I go back? For rolled tacos but not anything else. Especially not...

Both times that I've been here since it's open I've gotten a California burrito with extra guacamole. And the first time that I got one it blew my mind it was by far the best California Burrito I think I've ever had so I was beside myself while eating it trying to figure out how I could possibly taste so good. The second time I went there about a week or so ago, I heard the same exact thing and it was still good don't get me wrong but it was just not up to the level of the first one that I bought. So I'm going to have to go back a third time and order it again just to make sure that the second time wasn't a fluke or if they had a bad stuff that night. Regardless best burritos are good and I would definitely recommend have you tried this place at least once if you're around the area because this place it is a lot better than most of the other Mexican food places...
