Fast service, good food made to order at a reasonable price, especially breakfast.
First negative is the sweet bakery items in the glass casing. I don't know if it's just in San Juan, but the cakes and donuts in this area are hard in the middle and somewhat dry, almost like it's expired.
Second negative, we ordered the same thing each time we went, but for some reason the bill doubled after a few visits. They noticed that we were not from the area because the bald short guy with the tattoos asked where we're from and how long were we in the area for. I guess they over charged us because they figured that had money to waste. Also, we ordered a coffee to go with our breakfast, but didn't get the coffee we ordered. I went back to the counter and asked for the coffee and the lady told us that we didn't order it, then she looked at the bald short guy, who works there and they kind of laughed. I ordered it again, got the coffee, and left. We will not return to Lamberty's.
Note: Be sure to ask for receipt. Since they don't list a price on all their items they could double charge and you'd never know unless you go there few times and realize that your bill had...
Read moreSo so good! This is a small neighborhood joint with fresh made breakfast dishes, sandwiches, baked goods, and strong coffee. My friend found it on a morning walk from our Airbnb.
We're talking nice + big egg, cheese and meat sandwiches (pork, pastrami, ham, etc, etc), fresh toast w/ fruit, egg scramble w/ meat and/or veggies, crepe-style pancakes, etc.
Sandwiches are large enough to eat one half and save the other for later...though that was tough. The bread was so soft, with a hint of sweetness, and the egg and meat so savory that I had to force myself to save the second half! It was worth it though and I'm already sad that I don't get to try anything else on the menu until we return! My friend was smart and took a fresh load of bread home in her checked luggage! 😆
Very reasonable pricing! Small seating area inside. Friendly service from the pretty girl up front and the guys making the food.
