I think it's about time I leave a review for this place. I am not a huge beer person, and I've always been a bit bummed that a place as diverse at the Bay Area doesn't have many establishments that serve hard ciders. I've had my fair share of cider in the NW, and I am so grateful that there is a cider company, close to home, that serves absolutely delicious ciders. Shout out to Drake's Barrel House for serving their cider and getting a taste, and I hope they can expand out to some other local businesses to spread the joy (looking at you, Fieldwork!). I say this because after having had their ginger peppercorn at Drake's, we immediately drove down the street to Blindwood and had a flight of their huge variety of ciders. We were offered cupcakes and some other snacks to balance out the alcohol, which was so appreciated. The vibe is chill, the owner incredibly friendly, and the cider immaculate, it was a no-brainer for us to serve their amazing cider during our wedding reception. Most people will enjoy it. If you're anywhere in the Bay looking for good cider, stop here. I hope Blindwood stays in the community for...
Read moreI first discovered Blindwood Cider at the Northern California Renaissance Faire - from the first sip of Honey Sage I was pleasantly surprised! Ciders usually strike me as too sour, too sweet, or way too punchy, however, this blend of local California honey, sage, and hand picked apples is the perfect flavor pallet of dry, fruity, and herbal. Their ginger peppercorn is equally as delicious!
I was so impressed I ordered a case from their location in San Leandro. As a family owned business, they are very attentive and kept me updated every step of the way. Erin and Drew are extremely friendly and very helpful, and Drew even dropped a case off at my house on his way to the Ren Faire. You can't beat the amazing product and incredible service provided by Blindwood Ciders! I am a very, very happy customer and look forward to doing business with them in the...
Read moreI didn't know I was a hard cider fan until I tried Blindwood Cider. Their approach to beverage is just so cozy and personable. Blindwood is comprised of a husband and wife duo creating a large variety of unique, delicious ciders. All at incredible price points by the way. Some ciders are made from unheard of single apple varietals. Some ciders are fermented with or flavored by really unexpectedly tasty flavors such as sage or fig. I'd also recommend signing up for their cider and cheese pairings with the Cheese Parlor in Livermore. I don't know how Blindwood and the Parlor create such spectacular pairings, but they do. I've never had a better beverage and food pairing in my life. It's truly magic.
Blindwood is incredible and I think everyone needs to go in for a tasting flight so they can begin to experience their...
